What was your
first real romantic kiss like?Assuming you mean romantic to rule out platonic, my first
was in 8th grade, at school, in a supply closet inbetween classes. We didn't get caught,
but it was an adrenaline rush. I had no idea kissing was like that...or that Iwas that
good at it!

Very sweet and slightly clumsy.

Like being pounced on and chewed but a
voluptuous monkey.

*snort* Define romantic. (My firs kiss on
the lips was NOT what I would call romantic.) Um, the firstkiss I had that I thought was
romantic was on my fingernail. Will hurt it and then he kissed it better.

Private.
Jill, 59
Saylorsburg, PA
As many of these things go, embarked
upon with a great deal of trepidation and holding much more meaning for myself than for
the boy.
Felicia, 34
Somerville, MA
Soft and
Sweet.

Sugar Hill, GA
I don't consider any of my kisses romantic
until my first boyfriend, and even then, our first romantic kiss wasn't until a few weeks
after we started going out. We were lying on a blanket in his parents' backyard, just
looking up at the stars, and he turned over and kissed me. It was the most romantic thing
that had ever happened to me up to that point. I felt like I was in some horrible teen
flick, that's how good it was ;)

I really don't remember. Must not
have been so great, I guess.

I remember I was 16 years old, and
it was Homecoming of my junior year in high school. I
went to the dance with my boyfriend at the time, and I'd never kissed anyone before that
point in time. We danced to a slow song, and when it was over, we kissed. I have to admit
I was a little taken aback and my legs turned to jello...but it was a wonderful moment
that I won't soon forget.

It was
new years eve, and I was sixteen. I'd had a crush on Don, my sister's brother-in-law, for
years. He was home on leave from the army and we were at a family New Years Eve party. I
was coming down the stairs and he was going up. As we met on the landing he kissed me. A
really sweet gentle kiss. Neither one of us said anything, he continued up the stairs and
I went down. For me it was like a crystalized moment in time. My first kiss at
sixteen. Eventually his family moved away and he married. About fifteen years later
I heard that he committed suicide by shooting himself. I wish I knew what went wrong
for him, he was such a sweet and good person.
