Do you consider yourself a success?

Yes and no. I don't consider myself a success because I am still living and there's more than enough time to mess things up. I do consider myself a success because I have a rich, full life with a career that allows me to live my personal faith without compromise, a husband whom I deeply love, and family and friends who give me unconditional love and support.

Sure-as long as I'm doing what I want to be doing, I've succeeded. :)

The dictionary defines 'success' as 1. a favorable outcome or result; 2. the gaining of wealth, fame, rank, etc. I'll choose the former definition and answer "yes."

Yes, I do. I do work that is meaningful. Have friends and family I can count on. Am independent and self-supporting. Often find much beauty in the world. However, I still have many years to go.

I spent 4 years in college learning to write and now dont write anything, work a dull job for 12.50 an hour and am bored with life. Im not living with  my parents, which is good, but a success? Heck no

It's hard to be a success at my age. But considering that I dropped out of college (I'm slowly able to say "dropped out" rather than "on a break") and won't be pursuing my chosen career for a while, no, I'm not a success. I'm going to take steps in the right direction this summer with night classes, I hope.

Compared to my brother, of course I'd consider myself a complete failure: O it's own merit, that is kind of the conclusion I would come to, anyhow: The only creatures who would consider me a success would be the dogs/cats...they reek of awesomeness...I like the people, but hate my job...Nothing to prove that my existence has mattered one iota...of course, the Stoic philosophy helps me deal with all these crap...I mean, the Stoics reek of awesomeness.

So far, yes. I am graduating in May as 4th in my class and this fall I'm starting University of Michigan. Tomorrow morning I leave for spring break, which I've paid for myself. I have had my ups & downs but I think I'm successful so far.

I'm not really sure what I'm trying to do, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing it.  That'd be a 'yes.'

Not yet...I'm only 18.

I might-have-been, might-have-been, might-have-been. On the other hand, I'm not dead yet and I sleep well at night. Perhaps I'm the little enigma that might?

Jill, 60

No I don't consider my self a success. I put to many things off in my life to be there for otheres and my children and didn't realize a time they would be gone and where am I at home with no real jobs behind me, some schoolong but no real job experience.

In many, many ways - yes.

At what?

At this point, yeah. I could be so much better than what I do, in terms of grades, friends, work, talents, etc but then again I think I'm a lot better off than some people. I'm happy with what I've accomplished.

Not yet. But I will eventually, hopefully.

Yes. I am relatively happy and content. I enjoy my family, my work and my life. Nothing much I would change about if given the opportunity.
