What do you do to feel good about yourself?

Mainly I try to treat people as I'd like to be treated and don't take offense easily. I've found that people respond well to comon courtesy. I guess making other people feel good makes me feel good.

I go to the gym. Not necessarily to lose weight, mostly to just get in shape and fit into my old pants, but everytime I go, I can imagine that I'm getting thinner. I think I look better, more confident, slimmer, and more athletic. I admire my arms when I do an upper-body workout, and my face when I know I've been working out hard and my double chin doesn't seem so dominant. Not only that, but it helps me enjoy the food I eat more. I don't have to change my diet--I can enjoy my cake and my body. In addition, my boyfriend does a world of good for my self-image--when I dress up for him and I see the way he looks at me, I feel great.

Stay in touch with close friends, work on my book, spend quality time with loved ones, and when I'm feeling down...I try to imagine how things could be worse, because they always can. I get great pleasure from encouraging or inspiring others.

Well, let me think: What I do to feel good about myself? Well, I hang out with my animals...I write my unpublished novels. I go for a walk. I think about Alaska. I read my Pro Wrestling Illustrated rags...I knock myself out, why not?
