Have
you met anyone new lately?I just started a new job a month ago, so I've met a whole
bunch of new people. However, I'm excited b/c this Friday night one of them is having a
"Girls Night Out" party at her house and I was the first invited. She actually
asked me who /I/ wanted to invite. As if I know anyone here. She's wonderfully nice and I
am happy to have some new friends.

It depends on your definition of
"lately". What's the time-frame? Within the past month? For that I'd answer NO.
Nothing that created a lasting friendship anyway. In the past year, most definitely. I met
my wife just over a year ago and many of her friends have since become very good friends
of mine.

The great thing about college is that you
meet new people every day. I meet people all the time.

Yes. My daughter recently met her biological
father for the first time, and in doing that, we both had the opportunity to meet his
other children (my daughter's half-sister and brother). It was a most excellent experience
for all of us and a very positive event in my daughter's life.

It's funny how when you hear that question,
you automatically think: opposite sex. But I'm not interested in that kind of
interesting. I've met some interesting new people in my writer's group in the last few
months--all women.

One of the pleasures of doing contract
programming is that I meet new people every time I start another project, which I did a
few weeks ago. I've also met a few women who have recently moved to my area.

Ummm. . .I met one of my husband's old
friends a couple weeks ago. Oh, and I met our friend's sister and brother-in-law after
that. I might have met somebody since, but I can't think who.
Karen, 22

Yes. At church on Sunday I made the
acquaintance of a very interesting woman and her 14 year old daughter. We talked long
after everyone else left the coffee hour. We exchanged phone numbers.

I've made a new casual friend and met a
couple of new professional colleagues. Because I work at a community center, I meet new
folks everyday. Few however become intwined in my life.

I met
Bruce McDonald and Noel S. Baker. Pretty cool. And I met a beautiful boy named Matt whom
instantly I could imagine having a future with (if only his fiance didn't mind). That's
basically it, but in a few months I'll be on the job and be 'meeting' a ton of new people
every single day -- tourists flock to my small nothern tourist town.

I'm trying to decide whether or not this
question is asking about my romantic life or my social life. I met a guy recently; his
name is Dave.

I've actually met several new people
recently. On a plane a few weeks ago, I met this model who was quite funny. I also
attended a wedding where I only knew three people, so I was forced to make some new
friends. It was a good thing.
