Have
you ever been reconnected to an old love?Have i ever been reconnected to an old love? Oh boy! and he
broke my heart the second time too.

Not in a romantic sense. My former husband
and I reconnected after years apart, but just we remained friends.

No, I have not.

before i can reconnect with an old
love they need to all stop calling me. at least one. losers, man. losers.

Yes and no. I mean, there's this guy that I
dated the summer of 2000 and then wound up dating again teh next summer (that is so sad).
Others I think about a lot. I mean, I don't want to be in love with them anymore, I just
want to know they're okay. It sometimes makes me wonder if we ever really fall out of love
with a person. I mean, energy cannot be distroyed, right?

I've put a lot of effort into keeping my
past loves in my past--and at a geographic distance.

I've wondered about them from time to time,
but have no desire to reconnect. Looking back I can see that none of them would have been
nearly as good as the one I ended up with.

Once and
it turned out to be nothing anyway. I used to date this girl, Anna, in high school. We
went to different schools and only dated for a few months. Several years after graduating,
I moved to Phoenix, AZ (I had lived all my life in Leavenworth, KS). While living there, I
just happened to run into her in a bar. I had no idea she had moved down there. We went
out a couple times and it never went anywhere.

Yes, once. It had disasterous
results...

I married
when I was a teenager and it lasted a year. We dated a year later and that lasted a month.
Then we dated twenty years later and that lasted a week. It's been forty years and I still
think about him with love.

Yes. I used to run into my high school sweet
heart, although that hasn't happened lately. There are a couple of former lovers that I'd
love to see but it's very unlikely that I will.

I don't know. Not really. I think
it's a shock sometimes to see someone you haven't seen
in a while, especially when you once devoted a lot of emotion to that person. I think
familiarity can send you back into old arms. . .it can make you forget why you left those
arms in the first place. I did have an occasional urge to return to an old love before my
husband and I were going out (just out of sheer loneliness and desperation), but now I'm
taken and I don't want anyone but my husband.

Much to my delight, I have. About a year and
a half ago, I got a note from the first serious man in my life, telling me that he and his
wife had split up. Since then, we have been e-mailing and phoning regularly, and he plans
a trip this summer, from the East coast, to visit.

Reconnected meaning years and years between?
Lost contact?? Anyway, I'd have to say my husband. He was my first love and I don't know
that I ever stopped loving him, but we split for two years and then somehow we just met up
again and the second time was the right time!
Tracy, 24

No, and I'm kind of thankful of that fact.

I asked the question because I just
received an email from an old love. That relationship ended nine years ago and was a mess.
Felicia, 36

Unfortunately, yes. I had a friend who, when
I met him, I fell in love with instantly. We remained friends for about a year, but when
we ended up going to college near each other, we decided to give a relationship a try. We
were utterly convinced that Fate had decreed we were to be together. However, a few weeks
into the new relationship, I got nervous and cheated on him. Dumb, huh? So I told him, and
we didn't speak for about a year. It was bad timing for the relationship, I later
concluded. So for a year, I grieved, but I eventually got over it, and met someone new at
the beginning of this school year, and I'm very devoted to him. However, Nate chose that
time to give me a call and ask me out to coffee. Overjoyed that he had expressed new
interest in me, I met him. We talked of possibly rekindling the old relationship, but we
agreed I would stay with my new guy until we reach any definite conclusions. We dated a
few times behind my boy's back, and then I realized he was using me for my mind and my
heart, but he couldn't return the old feelings. After that we played phone tag until our
interest fizzled, and I decided not to bring back old ghosts. SOmetimes I regret this, and
I want to pick up the phone and give him a call, but I think I made the right decision.
And I confessed to my boyfriend that I had been sneaking around...and it strengthened our
relationship.

yes... more than once, and it always

Not exactly an old love and really not much
time had passed... but I was dating a guy for almost two years, cut it off, and then
rather suddenly we began dating again six months later. That's the closest so far, but I'm
18. I haven't even had time to gain any loves to be reconnected to.

No. He e-mailed once, but I didn't hear from
