Do you own a
video camera and if so how much do you use it?No we don't. Always meant to buy
one, but just never got around to it.
Pamela, 39
Sugar Hill, GA
I do own a video camera which I haven't used
for over 2 1/2 years. In fact, it is currently being held hostage by a friend
waiting to have its damage fixed.
Felicia, 34
Somerville, MA
No.
Jill, 59
Saylorsburg, PA
No but my parents do. College
graduation was boring the first time (the ceremony
itself, I mean, not actually graduating). The second and third times? *sigh* Even
MORE boring. I understand the concept of the video camera, I just don't understand when we
ever watch those movies again except to transfer them onto VHS tape.
Amy, 23
New Orleans, LA
No, I'm lucky to have still/izone
camerax. And if Ihad the money for a video camera I still wouldn't spend it on a video camera.
Karen, 20
Marshelltown/Ames, IA
I bought an 8 mil that runs on double a's
about five years ago. I use it now and then to record performances or stuff for the show
when my roommate cant be there with his mini DV.
Alias Irrelevante
Don't have one yet.
Kevin, 33
Sugar Hill, GA
Yes. I have owned a video camera for 4 years
and have used it only 3 times. -
Jami, 27
Lowell, MA
Nope.
Jane, 60
West Linn, OR
I've never had a video camera of my
own. I used my friends once..and ended up breaking it. Ooops. She took the blame for me.
Aurora, 17
Montreal, Quebec CANADA
my step-father now owns two, both were
"gifts" from his parents. One, (manufactured circa 1980), I was allowed to use
in grade ten to film some project, but everything had this funky green tint. The batteries
lasted about 2 and a half minutes on full charge, so every shoot was a rushed one. This
new one (manufactured circa 1990), I believe, is still deemed "too good" for me
to use. Not that I break things, my step-dad's just a prick. btw - he's NEVER used either
camera, they just sit and collect dust.
Jaden, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
Yes, three or four times a month.
Megan, 24
Chicago, IL
I do not own a video carmera
Meg
yes, my family does. we mostly use
it for birthday parties, weddings, graduations,
and memorable parties.
Karen2, 14
Boston, MA
No, and I don't have any desire to. Do I
want to lug an extra piece of technology up the mountainside as I go hiking with the wife?
Will I want my son to remember his fourth birthday as a time when his father was hunched
over, squinting through a black box at him? Would I like to catch a spontaneous food-fight
amongst friends on film and be the only non-participant? No. I wouldn't use a video camera
if I had a choice; I don't make a
good spectator.
Jesse, 24
Bowie, MD
I do not personally have a video camera, but
my husband is a video artist, so there is always a camera around. I rarely use it.
Tina, 31
Medford, MA
Yes. I have way too much tape of the stupid
cats looking "adorable".Really boring! My life must be boring.
Meg
Yes. Although this November is going
to be tough.
Janet, 42
E. Brunswick, NJ
I don't own a video camera.
Ernest, 29
Washington, DC
I don't own one and I don't have the
desire to own one either. What would I use it for anyway? To stick in front of my face for
hours on end at important family functions to record a tape that I'll never watch again? Forgive me if I decline.
Shanna, 15
Cardiff ENGLAND
no, i do not. . .
mothmc, 35
Los Angeles, LA
I own no cameras at all and am
relying on my memory. I recognize it as a mistake every night when I lay in bed and begin
to forget my day. But if I start filming, when will I have filmed enough? My fading memory
scares me, and I am afraid of books of photos and ranks of tapes of events I don't
remember.
Anthony, 25
Baton Rouge, LA
Nope
Firelady, 22
Dallas, TX
No.
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ
Well, we have a video camera (used
every couple of months), but right now we've been using our Super 8 camera about once a
week.
