What is a wish
that you are careful not to wish for too hard least you get it?By the old jerk who
makes my sandwich every day at the cafeteria at work. He's cranky, but he makes a mean
roast beef sammitch.

That's not a wish, it is a fantasy.

Just about anything. Don't tempt
fate.

If wishes were horses, then beggars
would ride.If turnips were watches, I'd wear one at my side.

Uh. . .only one of my wishes that I
can recall has come true, so I'm not really worried
about being unsatisfied with the results of a wish fulfilled.

What a cool question! I try not to wish for
complete financial security because the cost for that are too high. My husband and I both
strive for a simple life and want to work in areas that will help low-income families.
That puts us in the non-profit world, which equals low-paying jobs. To have a high paying
job would mean abandoning our commitment to those less fortunate

Again with the time travel. One track mind? Maybe. On a different note, when I was in
high school, I used to wonder what it would be like to be less smart. Sounds snotty, huh?
Well it was, but I was under extreme amounts of pressure from everyone: teachers,
principal, parents, friends, and myself. I was the one who was going to "make
something of herself." I often wondered what it would be like to be one of the
mediocre.And who ever said I wasn't modest?

i don't believe I agree with the premise of
the question. . . my "wishes" don't seem like romantic mystical pre-ordained
fatalistic things. . . I don't believe it's possible for me to wish "too hard"
for something, unless that "wish" causes me to lose perspective on the hard,
long struggle that

Damn good question. Fame and a job
I'd actually feel committed to.

I really try not to wish for anything
because if it is a realistic wish to some degree, I can make it happen by myself if I
try/work hard enough! But I guess that occasional wish for a little more money slips into
my mind now and then.

All my wishes are grand and
intentional, I hope they all come true

Well, to die, certainly. I know we all wish
for that at sometime. At the time I do wish it, it seems pretty true.

Before I was married, I was careful not to
wish too hard for a super hot Brad Pitt-looking husband because guys that look like that
always turn out to be the biggest jerks of all. It's fun to dream about someone like that
but reality would probably suck. I'm happy with what I've got - a smart, sensitive, stable
man who is family-oriented and treats me like a queen. He's not "movie star hot"
but definately adorable enough to mix

This one was really tough. I think one wish
I don't wish too hard for is that my worst enemy of many years now should have to endure
some sort of anguish like that which she has bestowed upon others over time. The only
reason I fear seeing this wish come true is because of my rigid Catholic upbringing (which
I don't follow anymore) which has pounded enough guilt into my being for an eternity of
Thursdays...I know if this particular wish came true, I'd end up suffering senselessly in
some confused emotional state.

That I could have had a senior year
at high school. Because even though I sometimes want it, I know that I would hate it if I
had it. I'm glad to be experiencing college a year
earlier than most.

It would probably be seeing my ex-boyfriend
die a horrible bloody death... That isn't a very nice wish now, is it??

"I wish the wife would do more
housework" I often wish that, but if it were to come true, I wonder if it would leave
me with too little to do.... Being idle would also make me unhappy.

Don't ever wish that someone you
know (especially a family member or friend) were dead! Don't ever tell anyone to go to
hell! You just might meet them there

I wish for money and recognition and time
for my artwork. I have no problem wishing for it really hard. Why would you bother to wish
for something that you didn't really want?

I dont believe in that sort of
