Have you ever done anything you regretted at a holiday party and what was it?

Maybe if I had gotten to go to the last one I'd been  invited to, I would have regretted it. But I doubt it.

Not that I can think of other than not mingle or try to meet new people. I once ate too much polish sausage at a French New Year's eve party and felt like hell for the rest of the evening.

When I was 15, I had to babysit on New Year's Eve. My parents gave me permission to go to my friend's slumber party after the baby sitting job was finished. So Iarrived at the party at 12:30. My friend's mother must have known we had alcohol.... Well, let's just say I wanted to catch up with my friends. Of course, I got sick. For a year after that, whenever I was invited to a party, it always had BYOM at the bottom-- Bring Your Own Mop.

But you know, I'm not sure that I regret that. I learned from that experience.

Well, I don't know if I regret it, but the memory definately makes me cringe....I went to Chicago's Broadcast Advertising Club's Christmas party when I used to be in the advertising industry. I was about 22 and I got really drunk. There was a large bald black man at the party who resembled Montel Williams. My co-workers convinced me that it really was Montel. So I went up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck and said "Montel! Montel! Can I be a guest on your show?!" The guy sort of went along for it for a while, but I think I became quite a nuisance. How embarrassing, but it's definately a good story to tell!

I rarely get invited to holiday parties im kind of a loser. I went to my office christmas party last weekend and sat there for an hour feeling lonely and rejected. I guess i regret that :P

I don't think I've ever been to a holiday party. We have Christmas day at my parents' house every year but that's family and you can't regret things with family.

Nope, no regrets, of course, Holiday parties are not my bag, since if I wanna get drunk, I'd rather get drunk with friend or, as George Thoroughgood would say, with my good Buddy Weiser

Nothing that I'm prepared to actually tell people about.

Well, just recently, the company I work for had a Christmas party for the staff and their families. It was fine, but the only thing I regreted was waiting too long to start preparing the food I was taking to the party. And I got all nervous and I felt rushed, so I was kinda tweaking all night. And my neice really wanted me to dance with her on the dance floor, and I was too nervous, and too wrapped up in everything that was going on, and I didn't think I had time, and I was worried that I wasn't helping out enough, so by the time I was ready to dance with her, her mother said that they had to go, I forget why. So I felt really bad about that. I feel like I should have spent more time having fun and enjoying the time I had with everybody, including my neice, instead of rushing around and covering my behind.
