When
do you take down your holiday decorations? The date varies from year to year. Sometimes I find the
world a very depressing place so I'll leave the decorations up to cheer me up a little.
This year I took most of the down right after Christmas.

We didn't have any up this
year, but I guess they usually come down pretty early in January. My birthday is on
January 18th, and I don't remember ever having had holiday decorations still up for my
birthday.

Probably in another week or so. One year my
daughter and I were alone and decided to leave everything (indoors) up for about a
month! It was great and really helped move the winter months along and keep them cheery!

The week after New Years Day I take
my tree and decorations. I used to wait till Jan.7 the
old Christmas but lately have started take down sooner to get back to a normal schedule.

The lights always stay decorated but are off
around this time.

I usually take them down after new years day
but this year my schedule has changed. I am due to move into a new apt in Jan so my
decorations came down the day after Christmas.

When I get unlazy enough to mess with it, I
guess. This is the first time I've ever put any up.

It is New Year's Day and as I write this,
the holiday dishes and glasses are already packed and in the attic. The tree is down and
my husband is vacuuming the floor as I type this. I have a huge bay window that I
decorate. The garland swags and decorations I leave up for another week or so, then I
decorate for Valentines Day and my kids Feb birthday. I'll leave the nativity up til Kings
Day, Jan 6th and I'll take down that and some more of the decorations. The wreaths on the
doors stay up for another 2-3 weeks.
Janet, 44

I'm very traditional. My decorations remain
up until Twelfth Night, or January 6th.

Some time in January...whenever I
have time. The years I am really busy it takes longer. I think it gets worse every year!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
Well,
usually I don't take them down until after New Year's Day. But the day after Christmas, I
got bored and took the stuff off the tree and put away the decorations. But the tree is
still up, so I've got a naked tree in my living room. My cat likes it, but I really need
to take that down. Or maybe I'll leave it up and make a Valentine's day tree out of it.
That's what my sister does. I doubt it, I'll probably take it down one day when I get
bored again.
Jaden, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
Whenever my mom feels like it. Usually the
indoor decorations go down New Year's Day and the outside decorations go down mid-January
or later. One year they were still up on Valentine's Day.
Johanna, 18
OK USA
I put the advent wreath away a few days
after Christmas. I take the wreath off the door when it loses most of its needles. This is
the first year that we put up a strand of lights. I'll probably take them down when the
weather gets warm.
Laura, 36

I never
