Do you consider yourself lucky?

I consider myself fortunate.

Laura, 37
Lowell, MA USA

YES! I have a great husband, I have a job (for now), I have a house and my Jeeps--I think I'm doing really well, especially for my age! Plus, this morning the horseshoe over my door fell down, and it DIDN'T fall on my head!

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

In some ways. But evidently in the way that's lucky in cards and not in love.

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

Some of the time, yes, some of the time, no. I feel I'm very very lucky to have met my wife. I'm very very lucky that she has two wonderful kids. I'm lucky to be living in a nice home and to have a very good life. I was unlucky when I was laid-off from my job a few weeks ago. For the most part, I've been very lucky in life... but like anyone, I've had my fair share of unlucky moments.

Doug2, 30

Yes I have a wonderful family who loves and supports me and I have good friends who love me for me

Savannah, 17
Melbourne, FL USA

Sometimes I do. With my boyfriend I definetly do.

Ashley, 20
Jacksonville, FL USA

Only in the kind of luck that comes from good judgment.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

Yes. Extremely so.

Aly, 17
Cardiff UK

Judging by my poor luck searching for a job, i'd say no :P I suppose I'm lucky to be alive and not to have died in some unimaginably horrible way nor to have contracted some terminal disease.

Talia, 25
Tallahassee, FL USA

Once upon a time, when I was trying to transform a bad marriage into a civilized divorce, I encountered a most perceptive motto in a fortune cookie: The wise pilgrim creates luck.
I also learned over the contract bridge table that you play the cards you are dealt to the best of your ability with as much grace and humor

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

i dont know if lucky is the right word--in terms of things like card games and such im definitely not lucky--in life, i would say ive been given opportunities and such, if that counts as lucky.

Cara, 18
Valparasio, IN USA

Not really lucky. I would say fortunate.

Felicia, 36
Lowell, MA USA

Yes. I was lucky in love. I also win a lot of small prizes - 50-50 raffles, a CD, a cookbook, four tickets
to Cedar Point, a huge $200 stuffed toy snowman, a small Longaberger basket, a gift certificate from a grocery store, a couple of gift certificates to local restaurants, an answering machine, etc. I don't win anything big - the most I've ever won in the Michigan lotteries is $5.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

Very! If I do find myself in an "unlucky" situation, I think "It could be worse".

Stephanie, 25
TX USA

I consider myself very blessed. I have a great family, people who love me and a roof over my head.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

Not particularly, no. On occassion, yes. However, as a pessimist, I don't always notice.

Firelady, 24
Frisco, TX USA

Extremely in many ways... the kind that count when all is said and done. In other ways, I could get a break on luck if it was handed to me by the Lord himself!!

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

I just heard a quote the other day (can't remember how it goes) that says that you can develop luckiness. Well, I've never won the lottery or anything, but I DO think I've developed a lucky streak. I've got a nice apartment, plenty to eat, and a good job. Just think of all the people in the world who don't have NEAR that much.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

I don't really believe in luck. I feel if someone works hard enough for what they want then most likely they will get it. Luck really has nothing to do with it.

Tam

No, I believe that God predetermines what you do and do not get because he knows what the future holds. Luck is part of superstition.

Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH USA

I am lucky in so many ways. I think luck implies that providence has smiled upon you and that
has happened many times to me, but I have earned and worked hard for some successes. (and failures). Overall, I feel very lucky.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

Only sometimes. I think I'm blessed to be living in the U.S. and have a very good life, but luck is something else. It comes and goes.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

I don't really believe in luck. I like the saying "The harder you work, the luckier you are."

DSW
Detroit, MI USA

Yes.
