What is your rigorous physical activity of choice (some call it exercise)?

I like swimming and hiking and sometimes weight lifting. Lately I've been doing a lot of stretches and sit-ups and running in place, 'cuz that's stuff I can do in my apartment.

When I have a job outside of academia, it usually involves lifting and carrying things from point A to points unknown. In academia: I type, smoke, and read. So, I am not ashamed to say sex is as close as I've come to "exercise" for a couple of months.

Walking.
Our campus is huge (over 30,000 students), and the parking lot is waaaay far away from the English building and my office. So, hiking all over the place every day is exercise of choice. If I had to pick a second form, I'd say dancing. I LOVE to dance. There was a time when I was out dancing 4 times a week... but hey, who has time for that anymore?

I enjoy playing soccer on days just warm enough, but not too sizzling hot. Football is fun too, when it's just cool enough to wear a t-shirt or sweater. Or when there's enough snow to play tackle. And I'll play tennis in between those seasons.

As of now, I don't really have one, which is really bad, I know. I do a lot of running around at my job though, up and down stairs and the like. I also walk around our building (which is kind of big) at a rather fast pace, so I think that probably keeps me from gaining weight.  However, I DO need to find something, because I'd like to get in shape sometime in the near future.

I don't do anything remotely resembling regular exercise. However, I enjoy swimming, hiking, long walks, yoga, and when I have the cash, skiing. I avoid anything that involves running or even looks like it might.

Besides sex? Just working, helping people move or getting something accomplished.
