What
is your worst / best Valentine's Day memory? Many years ago, my daughter's
father actually chose Valentine's Day to move out. The break-up was a mutual decision, but
I thought his choice of days was a bit tacky. As for the best? I really can't be sure, but
probably the first one my fiance and I celebrated together a few years ago. He sent me
flowers at the office which was something I'd never experienced before.

My worst one is probably when I wanted to
break up with the guy I was going out with but wouldn't do it because it was Valentine's
Day--and he brought me flowers and stuff. I'm hoping this one will be my best one.

I remember when I was in Junior High School.
My Mom told me that a boy called for me. I was real excited and wanted to know who it was.
She said that he didn't leave his name. I realized much later in life that my Mom must
have made up about the phone call, that she did it lift my spirit.
Another one was one year my husband brought
home the dozen red roses. I put them in my Lenox vase on the table. We went out to dinner.
When we came home, the cats had knocked over the vase and ate the tops off all the roses.

I don't know about best or worst,
but I do remember a high school crush I had and leaving a valentines day card in his car.
He never acknowledged it and I felt like a complete ass
and was totally embarrassed. I suppose worse was the Valentine's Day where the German
Shepard ate the handmade card my boyfriend had made me. There were a few other
circumstances that I don't dare to get into in this forum.

My husband brought me a dozen red roses for
Valentine's Day, and soon thereafter I learned he was having an affair.

i haven't had a best valentine's day, but i
sure have had a horrible one. last year i got dumped. my boyfriend and i used to always
get in huge fights and our biggest happened to be on valentine's day in the middle of the
mall. he said, ill save you the trouble and walked away from me. hmmm.

I can't think of one. We never made a big
deal of Valentine's Day. Why pick just one day to show love when you can do it every day?

Seeing that I have broken up with two
different girls within a week of Valentine's Day (different years at least), I really
don't know which one to pick. Nor, do I know if those would make my best or worst list at
this point.

The best valentines day I ever had,
was when I just started dating this guy and valentines
was our first date, he bought me a huge teddy bear, and we went for dinner. we had such a
great time. I'll never forget that guy.

Ugh.. Valentine's day has been cancelled due
to a severe lack of interest. Therefore, all memories have been erased.

My worst memory has to be from last year. My
ex and I broke up a couple months prior and I had had enough and didn't want to get back
together with her. She kept trying and wanted us to get back together. So, she asked me to
come over on valentines day to "get some closure". Well, when I got there, she
had bought me a couple things, some flowers, etc... I had nothing for her as I didn't want
to be with her anymore. When she saw that I was empty handed, she realized how serious I
was and I've only talked to her couple times since. Just a bad day all around. Mybest
Valentine's Day memory is from this morning, waking up next to my beautiful fiance and
knowing I'll never have another bad Valentines Day.

Not my top memory, but very
satisfactory was the first Valentine's Day after my
divorce when I realized that I didn't have to have a very insecure man orating about a
meaningless holiday--that I never had to listen to that insecure man orating again.

Last year
my little cousin got me a big box of candies and one of those garfields that you stick on
your car windows because I didn't have a valentine and he wanted me to be happy.

Every Valentine's Day has been great. Nearly
always get my favorite flower, yellow roses.

My worst
and best is pretty much the same. Valentines Day has always sucked for me. I hate cards, I
hate chocolate and I hate made up occasions.

Hmmmmm... don't really have one.

I don't have any significant Valentine's Day
memories. I wanted to get married on Valentine's Day but my fiance didn't. I eventually
broke up with him.
