Have you ever been infected with a parasite?

Not to the best of my knowledge.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

Nope, not as far as I know. Yuck!

Tracy, 24

I think I had ringworm when I was a kid. Other than that, I have an extremely strong constitution.

Amazing that yuo should ask about parasites, annonymous. I just got infected with scabies last month. This girl that just kinda hangs around at everybody's apparments without being invited came in the door one day and told my friends that she just got rid of her scabies. That came as a
bit of a shock since she'd been sleeping on everyone's couches that month. (Apparantly so she wouldn't infect her own bed.) It ended up that the only people that got infected from that were me and a girl i was seeing. We made her buy us the medicine and now she isn't allowed at any of our
appartments.

My only personal parasites have been metaphorical.

I think everyone has at many different times of their lives. Have I ever been infected with a cronic parasite that my body couldn't and/or had difficulty fighting? Nope. Knock on wood.

Keri-Jade, 23

I don't know. Does that include a flu-bug? If so, yes.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

No.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

Yes. . .Toxoplasmosis is the first thing that comes to mind, but doesn't any sickness you have involve a parasite?

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

no

Cara, 18
Valparasio, IN USA

Nope. I have many colleagues who have lived and worked overseas and they tell me horror stories of parasite infections and some had permanent damage to their bodies from it. Yuck.

Laura, 38

He was 6'2'', 225 pounds and just about sucked the life out of me. He destroyed all but two of my relationships with other people and did his best to infect them as well. Fortunately, I took a large dose of reality and he shriveled up and blew away.

Cindy, 41

I dont know what is considered a "parasite" and would it be considered normal? I guess if I don't know, lets assume I haven't.

Stephanie, 25
TX USA

No.

Alias Irrelevante

No. I really do not like bugs, so being infected with them would probably send me over the edge.
