My husband and I decided to buy each other gifts but neither could cost more than $1. He got me a set of Origami paper that was on sale, and I got him a box of Star Trek cards that I found at a flea
market. It was not only fun and cheap, we had to each think of the other's likes and dislikes.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

I sent my stepdaughter $20 and a card and sent cards to my parents and in-laws. My gift to my husband was this: Because you are sweet,Because you like to eat, You may have your way, We will go to a buffet. I do not like eating at buffet restaurants - anyplace food must be protected by Sneezguards is not where I want to dine. However, my sweetheart loves these places.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

I never send Valentines, but I got the most wonderful note from my husband that was better than any card.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

No. This is the first year I was unable to give my daughter anything significant in honor of the day. Between working more hours and trying to get my bills under control, it just wasn't in the master-plan to make a big deal out of this particular day this year.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

I made some Valentine's cards (pink and red hearts). They went over very well.

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

I gave a card and received a card.

Stephanie, 25

Nope. No presents. Just an ecard.

Laura, 38
Lowell, MA USA

No. I sent e-cards to my kids. I threw a big graduation/birthday bash for them the weekend before
Valentine's Day, so I kind of forgot about Valentine's Day itself.

Cathie, 53
