Did anything bad or annoying happen to you today - Friday the 13th?

Nothing worthy of being detailed for posterity.

At work, our test computer system was taken away and merged into the production system for performance tests and the expected rise in ATM transactions for Valentine's Day purchases. Therefore, we programmers couldn't do any testing and had to write documentation. It was also a Red Wings dress-down day where we were allowed to wear jeans, sneakers, and Red Wing jerseys or red shirts to work. I remembered the red but forgot that I could wear my jeans and
sneakers, too. My dress pants were comfortable enough, but I really prefer my sneakers to my dress shoes.

No, I had a delightful day, topped off by attending a 50th anniversary party.

Oh, was that the problem?!

No more than usual.

I was recovering from getting a tooth pulled. It was a fairly uneventlful day until just before midnight when I got an email saying 2 of my friends got into a fight with one of them needing stitches and the other facing assault charges.

nothing particularly dramatic... I had to do two visits to sixth form colleges to speak to the students about going to university... for the morning talk the lady had forgotten where she asked us to meet her, and for the afternoon one we were told to be there an hour later than the time they were told to expect us. Then it just turned into a weird day, where lots of odd things happened one after the other!

Found out a bounced e-payment caused my online banking account to go black and several pending payments had been cancelled. Took a little doing to get it all squared away.
