How are you going to celebrate Indendence Day?

Sunday the 1st, I am attending a pool party and picnic and on the fourth, my boyfriend and I are attending 3 fireworks shows in Downtown Fort Worth.

I'll sleep a little later in the morning, enjoy the day off, maybe catch a local parade if it's not too hot out, then just spend the day with my family and cook something up on the grill.

I'm not since I live in Canada!! So I guess I could answer this question 2 ways. What am I doing for Canada Day (July 1st)or what am I doing on July 4th?  CAnada Day: I'm working (my first day, yes!) from 1 till 5, then i'm going down to the lake to watch fireworks with my boyfriend. July 4th: I'm getting my G2 licence! Well hopefully but I'm doing the road test anyways.

Details are sketchy, but we plan to drink and be lazy. Combustibles may or may not be involved. :)

We are relaxing at home. Our son will be a year old on the 11th so this will be his first 4th. There is a parade which passes right in front of our house and I intend to take him out for part of that. Then, we can walk to the bridge near our house (about 1 minute away) and watch the fireworks over the water. If he does not like them or is too tired we will just bring him home.

Being a non-American, I won't. But I'd like to wish a happy Independence Day to all the Americans on the list :)

On the 3rd I'm going to watch the village's annual fireworks show-and on the 4th, I'm going to an N'Sync concert with my friend Luke, in Little Rock. (I got talked into it..I don't especially like them)

I'll visit with my sisters in NJ. The dogs are coming with me. It'll be a fun road trip. We'll probably burn burgers on the grill, drink too much and see fireworks.

Hi, Sorry but in Australia we don't celebrate independence Day.

I probably won't do much of anything. We might go see fireworks locally, but maybe not. If my girlfriend's out of town on business travel (she might be, we don't know yet) then I'll just stay home. It's not a particularly important holiday to me - actually, I'm not really interested in holidays at all, beyond getting off work and the holidays that include gifts being exchanged.

I am going to celebrate the 4th with a cousin in Pa. She is helping me with my Family Tree and so we will spend the holiday going over family info and then stay at her place and watch the fireworks. But the most important thing is that I will think in my heart of all the men that gave their lives for our freedoms.

I'm going to a party up my dad's house. We're having a pig roast and setting off fireworks. It'll be awesome.

Right now, five days in advance, all is in flux depending on the vagaries of house guests and the health of an elderly dog.
