How much money do you have in the bank?

Enough to survive, not enough to be rich. Just wait 'til I win that PowerBall though!

Doug2, 30
Kansas City, KS USA

A little over £350 last time I checked.

I'm old fashioned. I don't post information about my financial affairs or about my sex life on the Internet.

Jill, 61

I can't wait to read what everybody writes for this one. Personally, I can talk all day about philosophy, religion, tatoos, whatever, but I don't talk money.

Cindy, 41

Don't make me laugh.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

None of your business.

Laney, 60

I have about $3K which at any given time is committed for bills. I also have dwindling retirement funds that I can't touch which certainly at this time would allow me to retire at all.

Felicia, 37
Lowell, MA USA

Isn't that kind of personal? We have about $11,000 in savings and about four $20,000 money market CD's. It's not much, considering my husband didn't start a 401K until about 8 or 10 years ago. It's part of our retirement.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

What kind of question is that? I'm not answering that.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

Enough to cover most emergencies, not enough to retire on.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

Less than I should have. I'm a bit of a spendthrift, you see.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

How much you need? Actually, I haven't gotten my first full-time check yet so I've been living on part-time pay. Currently somewhere in the low hundreds.

Alias Irrelevante

Right now it should be about negative $100.

A-Dog, 20
Eugene, OR USA

Hmmm...isnt this just a little too personal?

Tam

Immediate cash on hand... probably $2000 or so, but it's all earmarked for bills. I don't want to talk about my investments for retirement. I have less than half what I had this time last year. Gotta love the tanking economy.

Laura, 38
Lowell, MA USA

Enough.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

minus one thousand four hundred quid... although I do have various "savings for house deposit" accounts dotted around, so overall I have plus money. Much good may it do me, as I can't actualy get at it!

Alice

My work keeps forgetting to pay me, so the exact ammount fluctuates wildly. Right now I'd say somewhere arround $400.00 (CDN).

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

NUNYA! (none ya business)

Stephanie, 27

Not a lot right now. My husband has been out of work since January and my check really doesn't do alot so we are now hitting the bottm of the barrel right now. He just went back to work and a pay check would really help right now.

KarenNJ, 25
Milltown, NJ USA

Not enough.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

Not nearly enough. This is the first summer since I've started college that I haven't had a steady job. I actually haven't had a steady job since last summer, so I didn't have an income from Christmas holiday like I normally would. Because of that, I've had more money going out of my bank account (bills) than I've got going in (nothing), and that makes me nervous.
