What would you not write about?

Here-say.

Stephanie, 27

I'm not sure if this question pertains to what I would not write about here on 2000 Days, or what I would not write about if I were so incredibly lucky as to become a published author. Since the latter would never happen, I'll answer this question based on what I would not write about on this
site. I would never write about anything hateful or prejudiced, anything sexual, I don't particularly like answering questions about my personal finances or private family matters, I would never divulge my home or work address...and I'm sure there are other things, but I just cant think of them right now.

I can't imagine not being able to write about everything. That is the chief way I express myself. If you mean are there certain genres I wouldn't author, then probably there are some places I would not go.

This is definitely a Catch 22, right?

Unless it was in a private journal, I would not write about my deepest feelings. If I had the skill, however, I might translate them into fiction.

I don't know. Personal sexual details, for one thing, I guess.

All is grist to the mill--after suitable sea changes to enhance originality and protect privacy.

I would not write about my life this week. at least not until it's all far in the past. it would just piss me off to do it now.

A-Dog, 20

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, that's not my intention, but I wouldn't want to write about the gay
lifestyle. I know very little about it and don't want to know more.

Reba, 57

I'm not sure I understand the question. What would I not write about on 2000 days? or in general? I guess it entirely depends upon the context. I don't think I'd write about something that would be humiliating for another person -- at least not in a way that identified the individual.

Laura, 38

After a lot of consideration, I don't know that there is anything I would NOT write about ~ at least for personal journal keeping or for my own records. This was a very cool question... really made me think about it for awhile.
