Would
you accept $1 million to leave the country and never set foot in it again??Never! Who would want
to live anywhere else but in the good 'ol US of A?
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
No. There's too much i havent seen in the US
yet to want to abandon it. Maybe for like 50 million, 100 million.. all taxfree of course
:P
Talia, 25
Stamford, CT
USA
These days, $1 million can buy you two pairs
of shoes. I want more.
Eric, 20
Beverly Hills, CA USA
Not at my age.
Sarah Jane
CT USA
No way in hell. I know that's a lot of
money, but firstly I'm a bit more patriotic than all that, secondly I truthfully believe
that there's no other country in the world that offers even close to the amount of varied
opportunities that this one does. I'm stayin.
Fisch, 47
Preston, CT
USA
No... I would miss the US too much.
Jeremy, 14
Highlands Ranch, CO USA
There are some things one cannot put
a monetary value on. While I have lived happily outside the country, I shudder at the
thought of never seeing it again. But the real problem
with all the questions we've been having about would you do this for that amount of money
is that they require a decision out of context. If I needed the money for treatment to
save the life of a loved one, if the government of my country changed to one whose
policies conflicted with my deepest principles, if all my family had moved elsewhere, if
there was a major depression and I was struggling to survive, then my answer would be very
different from what it would be right now, when there are no major problems in my life for
which a large sum of money would be the solution.

This question sounds like it was influenced
by a talk radio program...at least a program I was listening to...at any rate, hell NO!
This country is awesome...and, even though it is not perfect, it is the best country out
there...No,I would not accept $1 million dollars to leave this country and never come
back...after all, Alaska is a part of this country...and certainly since I plan on living
there, I would have to set food there...
Dr. Bob
Yes.
Angela, 18
Bella Vista, AR USA
Tempting, but I think not.
Felicia, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
Possibly.
Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
More money....well, yes to this one. I get
to pick where I'm going though!
Triana, 29
Austin, TX
USA
Nope. There is no place else on earth I
would like to live in.
Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
I'd like to think that I would be able to
say no to this one, but in actuality, I'm guessing I could live in Paris or London or
somewhere along those lines and be perfectly happy with my $1 million dollars.
Doug2, 29
Overland Park, KS USA
Possibly, but I would have to put a
lot of thought into it. Gut reaction though, I'm not sure I could leave the USA forever!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
Not at my age.
Sarah Jane, 15
Preston, CT
USA
Yes I probably would. This country isn't
that great. And...there's always England...
Kyle, 16
OH USA
No way. I'm an American, born and bred. This
country is my home, and as much as I'd love to travel the world, knowing I could always
come home would make it worthwhile.
Nicci, 27
Las Vegas, NV
USA
Well, okay, for one thing, I'd have a
million American dollars but wouldn't be in America. Theoretically that wouldn't be a huge
problem, but that's only theoretically. Then there's the part where I really love America.
So probably not--but I'm assuming I could take my husband and my stuff, and maybe I'd get
to live someplace cool. I'm going to have to say no on this one, I guess.
Karen, 22
Ames, IA
USA
Throw in another million for my
girlfriend, let me look into job prospects and I'll give Australia a call.
Alias Irrelevante
A nice little house with a white picket
fence. A loving family, a dog and a cat. Nice home cooked meals, and being successful.
Thats what I think the American dream is all about.
Andrea, 25
Federal Way, WA USA
Well, I guess it would depend on where it is
I had to move to. If I could go to Canada, Polynesia, the Caribbean or perhaps England or
Spain...yeah, I probably do it. I love my country and I'd miss it, of course...but a
million dollars IS a lot of money.
Tam
No. I'd have to leave my family. Besides
with all its flaws, it's the best place in the world to live.
Judy, 62
Easton, KS
USA
yes - i would go to a tropical island and
live in luxury. you said nothing about your family and friends visiting you on the island.
Brad, 21
Sydney AUSTRALIA
Easily and quickly. Bill and I (I
assume my husband could go, too) have no relatives or
close friends to speak of and a lot of gripes about how older people are treated in this
country. We lived in Germany for awhile and loved it over there. We especially admired the
way the elderly were treated in Europe. As we are both nearing 60 we think about things
like that.
Reba, 50+
Silver Spring, MD USA
Yes in a heart beat.
Christopher, 28
San Mateo, CA
USA
i think
that's one of those questions that you wouldn't know the answer to unless it happened: i
love australia deeply with all my heart - it's one of the best countries in the world, and
i like to think i've travelled. i love europe, and i have a closeness to america that i
find hard to understand because of how busy it feels to me compared to my homeland. but
australia will always be where my heart resides... but hey, it's a million dollars! a
million dollars!!! ;^) we'll see...
Nathan
I doubt it.
Laura, 37
Lowell, MA
USA
Yes! Absolutely!
Valeri, 21
Los Angeles, CA USA
Why? Do you know any crazy people with $1
mil? Give them my #!
Cancer, 20
NYC, NY
USA
If that means moving from the farm to the
big city, sure in a heart beat I would. If that means moving outside of the US, it would
take a few more heart beats, but I'd still be on that plane.
