Which
sex do you think has it easier in our culture?Neither. Each sex has
it's own demons and rewards. But, I believe that if a woman sets out to take on what
society has based as a "man's job" ie: fireman, policeman) she should have to
pass an identical physical exam and no exceptions should be made. If she passes, she
deserves it .. if she fails, then she should move on to another career.

Depends on which aspect you're talking
about. Honestly, overall, probably men.

The insects have it easiest in our
planet...as a entymologist on the X-files said, 'they
are so honest...eat, sleep, defecate, procreate...that's all they do, that's all we did,
but at least insects don't kid themselves than it's anything more than that.' Gotta love that
philosophy....

I mean, women definitely do not have it
easier.

Duh!!! Men!

I don't think either one does. It's only the
people who think that the other sex has it easier who make it harder on themselves.

Over the age of 18, definitely men. They're
taken more seriously in academic fields, fewer bodily demands are placed on them, they're
not gender profiled in commercials--why is "mommy" always a woman?--they don't
have to bear the burden of children and work as well, so on, so on, so on. I know I'm a
lot less picky when I date men than men are. Even affirmative action makes me feel like
I'm being judged less on my abilities than my equal rights as a woman.

Definitely males, although I think
that's changing.

Men definitely have it easier. It has been a
man's society for thousands of years now. Women have just recently (in the last hundred
years) obtained the same rights that men have enjoyed since society began. It will be a
while still, I think, until men and women are true social equals.
Tam
Neither. Each has its hardships.

Neither. It must have been simpler when
men's and women's roles were more clearly defined.

I really don't like questions that assume
there's only one issue in the world or that one factor significantly outweighs all the
others combined.

I'm tempted to say men, but probably
both have problems and advantages.

women for sure...actually - when i think
about it i would say men

I have always thought men had it easier than
women. They still do but America is smartening (is that a word?) up and women are catching
up.

I don't feel that either sex has it easier
than the other in our culture. However, people of different ethnic backgrounds and money
situations might have it tougher than others.

Men may work from sun to sun, But women's
work is never done. Furthermore, women live longer.

There is absolutely not doubt about
it.... white, heterosexual, American men are at the top
of the heap. It doesn't make them evil, but they do need to own up to the fact that they
have privileges given to them that they aren't even aware of. It's like the air they
breathe. It's just there.

Men by far, but I wouldn't want to be one.
They get everything. They don't have to be afraid at night. They can go out and do things
alone. They have all the money. They get the promotions. They get the last names.

Honestly, I think we all have it pretty
tough. It also depends on what realm you are talking about (financially, physically,
emotionally, etc).
Felicia, 36

Tough question. I'd say men. Society still
hasn't fully embraced the "women are equal" idea... but then again, monorities
are in worse shape than that. Old, White men, that's my answer.

Ehhh..
This is a hard one. In some cases, men have it easier and in others, women. Its a toss up.
