Someone willing to commit a lot of time to teach a child how to develop a good, moral character. A person that will tell their child what is right and wrong. It sometimes means letting a child live the consequences of their own actions, no matter how hard it is. Having them understand that life is not fair. A parent is about being in charge, a guide and not being your child's best friend. That's a love that is needed and sometimes hard to do. And a good parents gives

To be a good parent you need to be a friend as well as a mother/father. If you child does not believe she/he can talk to you then this will put a huge strain on the realationship. I do not think
it is ever okay to hit a child! One because violence begets violence. Two you should talk to your child not hit them. Three if you feel they are to young to talk to then they are to young to understand any better so you are punishing them for not knowing.
