does the D stand for in D-Day?
D-day is just a military term for when a particular operation starts. The D-day we remember, June 6'th, 1944 was actually called Operation Overlord. It is remember as "D day" because it was one of the most important operations of WWII.
I have no idea. Never even considered it.
Deployment I think.
I have a feeling that it is secret army talk; an arbitrary letter selected by fate and the ET brass.
