What
do you like dislike most about where you reside? The amount of traffic.
The other day it took 40 minutes for me to drive 5 miles home.

The summer tourists, renters and weekend
idiots. Sometimes I wonder whether these people leave their brains at home while they're
here!

The smell of pig dung in the fields nearby
in early spring. Farmers get an early start fertilizing their crops. On a humid day, the
air can get pretty disgusting and can stay that way most of the morning. (still beats the
pollution that used to waft over to Staten Island from Linden and Elizabeth NJ!!)

Everything that comes into the townhouse has
to be carried up a full flight of stairs.

It's too far from any stores. But I
love it anyway.

My home? The fact that it's an old house and
needs about $5000 in repairs/updates and another $10,000 to make renovations that I'd
really like to do.
My town? The city council and city manager
do not see the need for more affordable
housing for middle and low income families.

It's too small for us, for one thing. . .

I like the area where we live but I would
like to get my home remodeled or sell the one we have and buy one in better condition,
where they would not be so much to do. But my husband likes the land and the home we have
so we cannot sell.

Too many "Ghetto" type people in
the area. Too loud.

There aren't many people my age that
live here; mostly older people (age 30+) live in my
area.

The fact that all walks must end with a trek
up a very steep driveway.

We live in this apartment building because
it's inexpensive and when we first moved here, we were deep in debt and needed a cheap
place to live. I guess some of the other people living here also live here because it is
unexpensive. Unfortunately some of these folks are down-and-out and have lost respect for
themselves. Along with that, they seem to have lost respect for EVERYTHING. I greatly
dislike the fact that some of the men who live here come home drunk and put their fists
through the walls. Others rip down signs in the elevators and throw trash around. The
maintenance men and cleaning crew are kept constantly busy because of the 'antics' of a
few people.

What do I dislike most about the actual home
I live in, the city or the region? The home is a nice home, but it's older and we rent but
we are in the process of buying so that's fixed. The city is nice, so I can really say I
dislike the city. The region is good except for the very very weird weather. We'll have
snow one day and 60 degrees the next. Kansas is just odd that way.

It's boring! If you don't have a car
or can't drive, and can't find anyone to take you
places, you're going to just sit around all day on the computer (like me). The town I go
to school in is the same way, only everything is within walking distance, so if you can't
get a ride, you can just walk.
Hikaru, 19

What I hate most about where I live is that
the land adjacent to mine was sold to a developer and is being subdivided into a housing
development. They bulldozed a lovely old apple orchard and a 100 year old barn, cut down a
bunch of ancient oaks and redirected the brook. It just breaks my heart that this
beautiful rural area is being violated in this way.
Tam
The unstoppable, evil, oppressive heat.
That, and the fact that we don't have 4 seasons. We only have 2: Hot, and not so hot.

Subdivision life isn't fun to me. I keep my
place perfect and then have to look at the other yards with tons of kid's riding toys and
overgrown grass. I need to live on several acres. Am I just getting old?
Laney

I live across from a drug dealer, we have
prostitutes walking up and down our neightbourhood, and a stolen car was dumped on our
front yard. So that is what I dislike about where a live.

Oh, there are so many things to dislike
about this area, I do not know which ones I dislike the most...I suppose it would be the
traffic, which totally reeks of heinosity...traffic is totally bogus...that, and the fact
that people dump all over the traffic laws...if they see a red light, they plow on
through...taking it as a suggestion, and then whatever they feel like doing anyhow...
Pluto, 30

This town is too small!! Everyone talks
about everyone and everybody has to know your business.
Kyle, 16

In my home, my roomates are neat people, but
they're messy in different ways. Like, they put stuff away, but they don't vaccuum or wipe
counters or anything. The bathroom was disgusting when I moved in, and I'm afraid to
keep it myself. I have a weird dislike for moderately dirty floors: if my feet are
slightly dirty when I get out of the shower, I flip out. Plus, NYC is really expensive.

The NAME! Nobody can get over the name
"Beverly Hills." It's like a giant curse that follows you everywhere. People
assume so many things when that name comes out. . . and it just isn't true.

Dislike? In northeast Tennessee?
Well, I would say the real redneck people, but there are some rednecks I call my friends.
And I could say the lack of stuff to do, but when
I think about it, there's enough to satisfy me. Ok, I'll say the racists...and the hateful
people. But those kind of people are everywhere. Oh, I know now, I don't like the fact
that marijuana is not legal here. That's right. I would totally love this place is weed
was legal. And if animal cruelty was considered a felony, that would make it better, but
how about making it a potential death sentence. Ta-da. But I really love it here, I'll
probably stay here for good.
