What is your opinion of body piercing?

I have no problem with it. Seems like as much a form of expression as picking out an outfit. However, all piercing should be done with low risk of infection and by a professional. Having a friend jab a needle into you when you are drunk is not a pleasant experience.

More power to you if it's your thing, but I think it looks kind of dumb.  And I just can't imagine when someone's 60 how they're going to feel all scarred up. Or when your body rejects the piercing and makes some ugly skin tag.

I don't have any of my own but to each his own I suppose. I don't like to see all over the face...you know, overkill. I actually think it's a little offensive to look at in that case. But I think it's ok here and there. My 15 year-old daugher has a couple of piercings on each ear, but other than that, I told her she can wait till she's 18 to decide just how far she wants to go with it.

I do not like it. A belly ring looks sexy but facial, tongue , and too many ear piercings gross me out. I can not help but think you must have a lot of anger directed at yourself to mutilate yourself so.

I think they are neat. As long as the person doesn't have like 50.  One or two piercings are cool.

Funny you should ask. I have about 9 piercings and I'm getting a new one soon. I feel like if my body is my temple, I should be decorating it. It's a iberating feeling, the one that I get after having something feeling. I feel like I just overcame myself.

I think it's sexy, but not the big holes. I think naval rings are cute and so are nose piercings. I know a girl who has a pointy piercing from the inside of her chin. It looks kind of dangerous!

I think if I were younger (I'm 36) I would probably have gotten my belly-button pierced. That's as far as I would have gone myself with piercings...although I think everyone should be entitled to do with their own body as they please.

I think it's good in moderation. I have my ears pierced and a nipple, but I's also like to do my nose - maybe But that's it. People get addicted to it and it just looks horrible. Navel rings are horrible. So are those things that pierce and stretch out earlobes.

Earrings? I accept earrings. Multiple earrings? I accept multiple earrings. Eyebrows, noses, tongues, nipples and navels (and all areas covered by a bathing suit)--not my style, but I'm not going to interfere.

Its fine. Although i think some of those people who are heavily pierced have made themselves rather ugly and freakish, hey its their body.

Knock your socks off! It's your body, you're free to pierce whatever you want. While I'm sorta squeamish and anti-pain (I hated getting my ears pierced), I've got no problem with piercings on others, and I usually think they look quite cool. Someday I might get up the courage to pierce  something else, but untill I have the money and the tolerance for pain, I doubt  it'll happen.

I assume you mean piercing outside the earlobe, yes? I have no problem with it. I find some types of piercings - such as the industrial - to be attractive and would consider getting one myself.  Others, like the madison, are fascinating. And I've thought about getting my nipples or labia pierced, but so far I'm not planning to go through with it.

I think it's a pretty silly fad. And a sure sign of immaturity. I'm glad my kids are too old for that.

I don't see anything wrong with it. IF I can ever get up the nerve, I'd  like to pierce my tongue.

Ya know, there really are some things I simply don't have an opinion on... and this is one of them. I don't have any piercings but that doesn't mean I think it is right or wrong, it just means I choose not to have them. For those who have them, great! For those who don't, great! I could care less either way.

It's ok on certain people. I wouldn't have any done, but it does look great on other people.

I like body piercings. I have my navel pierced, my eyebrow pierced twice, and I also have the labret (the one between your bottom lip and your chin). I think they're awesome. If you don't like body piercings don't get them. If you do, go ahead. Besides it's probably just a passing phase. I'm not going to have them forever. Someday I'll take them off......someday.

I'd be a big fat hypocrite if I said I didn't like it. I have (or have had) my ears, nose, eyebrow, tongue, and navel pierced at one time or another... I'm also not against tattoos, either..

Nicci, 27

Well, I don't have anything against it, but I probably won't have anything else pierced. My ears are pierced once, and that's enough for me. Body piercing is for some people, but probably not for me at this time in my life.

In my opinion, it's this thing people do so they can wear jewelry in parts of their bodies that they wouldn't be able to otherwise.

I'm of the wrong generation to appreciate anything beyond pierced ears. In most cases, I don't really care what other people choose to do to their bodies, but seeing people with pierced tongues tends to make me want to gag.

body peircing is good in moderation. I don't like under sking peircings and things (you know, the ones down your arms or back), but facial, ears, and *useful* ones are fine in moderation. Some facial peircings don't suit some people though. Not a problem as long as they realise it, as peircings grow over, but people who don't realise a peircing doesnt suit them make me cring sometimes!
