Do
you know how to type and if so, how fast? yep, about 55 wpm
Alice, 21
Winchester UK
I don't type with my fingers on the
right keys, but I can type fairly quickly when I need to. It would be nice to be able to
do it better, but I don't have time to learn something
new and all over again!!
Tracy, 24

I took a typing class my freshman year in
high school. So, yeah, I can type, but only about 40 wpm. But it seems like if I type for
awhile, like ten minutes or longer, I get faster. I used to think in high school that I
wanted to be a secretary or something, but now, no way.
Lisa J., 23

Last typing test I took it was 64 wpm
general, and 8500 kpm with data-entry.
Nicci, 27
Las Vegas, NV

I type at 65 words per minute. I'm even
faster when spell check corrects my transposition errors.
Jane, 62
West Linn, OR
USA
I learned to type in high school typing
class... I can probably go about 65-70 words per minute but haven't timed myself in years.
Doug2, 29
Overland Park, KS USA
Uh, yes, and I haven't really
checked out my speed since high school. Probably 80 WAM
or so.
Karen, 22
Ames, IA
USA
I've been typing for years. But I still look
at the keys and I haven't a clue how fast.
Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
I learned how to type in Middle School...I
can do approx. 45 WPM I believe.
Kyle, 16
OH USA
Yes I know how to type. I have no idea how
fast I type, though. Back when I was in typing class a zillion years ago I typed about 50
wpm.
Laura, 37
Lowell, MA
USA
Pretty fast. Faster than most people even
though I don't know my count.
Cancer, 20
NYC, NY

Forty five years ago I could type an
accurate 45 wpm. Probably my speed has increased.
Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
I just took a typing test a couple of months
ago. The result was 69 words per minute, no errors. Everything nowadays, it seems, is done
on my keyboard. The downside is that my handwriting (which used to be really neat) is
barely legible anymore!
Fisch, 47
Preston, CT

Well, that seems like a kind of silly
question to me. If I weren't typing, how would I be responding? (I guess there's always
voice recognition.) But yes, I can touch-type, I've been doing it since I was a young kid.
My mother bought the original version of Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing years ago, and
currently I type around 90-100wpm on a regular basis.

I took a typing class years ago in High
School, and at that time I think I passed (barely) by being able to type 45 WPM. In
college, I took computer classes, but they never really emphasized on typing ability....so
today, I'm a four fingered typist, using only my two pointer and two index fingers...but I
think I'm pretty good, considering!
Tam
I can touch type at about 65 wpm
Felicia, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
Yes. I haven't been clocked in a
long time but I think I'm up to somewhere like 70wpm. I also have a 10-key speed of
15,000. It's pathetic. I don't even work in an office,
it's just from being online mostly.
Triana, 29
Austin, TX
USA
Yes, I type every day at work - and probably
type about 45 words per minute.
Brad, 21
Sydney AUSTRALIA
Can't type at all; im telepathically
projecting these words onto the screen. I don't know how fast i can type, pretty
fast :P
Talia, 25
Stamford, CT
USA
Yup, I sure do know how to type...after all,
that is what I do for a living, I damn sure better know how to type...near as I can guess,
it is 50+ wpm...whatever
Frodo
age unknown, parts unknown
hmm, like 50 ish words per minute, I think.
Eric, 20
Beverly Hills, CA USA
I took typing in high school, but I
never was very fast. I still type, but have to look at the keys.
Judy, 62
Easton, KS
USA
Yes, and something close to 90 wpm last time
I took any sort of typing test
Angela, 18
Bella Vista, AR USA
I know how to type. I took a class on it in
grade nine, but I never fully mastered the art of not looking at where your hands are --
possibly because I skipped that class many a time to injest illegal substances behind the
hill.
Keri-Jade, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
Yes, approx. 65-70 wpm
Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH

I suffer from hand-eye coordination problems
and type v-e-r-y slowly but I'm quite accurate.
Reba, 50+
Silver Spring, MD USA
85wpm on a good day
Firelady, 24

Yeah- I'm not sure how fast, but I've been
on computers since I was 11.
