Vitamin C (via oranges or orange juice), and
chicken soup.
Angela, 18
Bella Vista, AR USA
For a headcold, motrin and maybe an
anithistamine (over the counter), tissues and 8 solid hours in bed each night till it's
gone. For a chestcold, same as above but will also drink lots of hot tea, usually with
lemon, throughout the day. And for any cold....much grumbling; it helps.

I must wear a chain of frog legs and fly
wings around my neck for three days, then dance naked under the warm summer sun. If its
not summer, im out of luck. Thus i dont have the opportunity to use it much...
Talia, 24
Wilton, CT
USA
A lot of rest and fluids.
Johanna, 18
OK USA
Lots of rest, lots of fluids, ibuprofen and
antihistamine if needed.
Jane, 62
West Linn, OR
USA
Wait for it to pass. Over the counter meds
and steam (soup and tea) also seem to help a little.
Alias Irrelevante
Contac and aspirin.
Judy, 61
Easton, KS
USA
Stay in bed, eat lots of popsicles/chicken
& star soup, lots of nyquil

i believe in over the counter meds
to help through my suffering. However, my fiance
believes in natural comfort like Vitamin C drops and such. He never gets sick....maybe it
really works. But until I get proof that Vitamin C alone cures the common cold, I'm
stickin' with the old traditional tissues,
Stephanie, 25

Vitamin C and echinacea! Orange juice is
great for treating colds. Plus I use wet paper towels or tissues in order to reduce
chafing of my nose. It helps.
Eric, 19
Beverly Hills, CA USA
Echinacea!! and some vitamin c too.
Ry, 23
NYC
No real treatment. Lots of fluids, vitamin
C, and keep going as usual.
Ryan, 28
Riedlingen GERMANY
Choice is suffer or go to the doctor and get
an antibiotic shot and prescriptions.
Laney
TX USA
Pajamas, nice cup of hot tea, book
and snuggle under the covers in bed
Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
Orange juice, echenacia, and good old
fashioned Chicken Noodle Soup. Oh, and lots of tlc.
Nicci, 27
Las Vegas, NV
USA
Not much. Blow my nose. Suck on throat
lozenges. Wash my hands alot to minimize spreading the cold. I just recovered from a heck
of a cold. I was sick for over 2 weeks. It was Evil.
Laura, 37
Lowell, MA
USA
Lots of rest, lots of fluids. If it's a bad
cold, I'll take some cold medicine.
Doug2, 29
Overland Park, KS USA
Lots of tissues, an over-the-counter
antihistamine and several trashy novels.
Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
Plenty of couch rest, popsicles and
tv. Will cure anything!
Triana, 29
Austin, TX
USA
I usually ignore it and it goes away
Felicia, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
Under ordinary circumstances, I eat right
(well, for me) and fortify myself with Vitamin C and get lots of rest so that I don't get
a cold in the first place. But when I do get one, I do pretty much the same thing I
would to prevent one. And I try to get more rest and hot food.
Karen, 22

My
happiness depends on my attitude, not on outside events.
Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
I'm not sure. It's been awhile since I've
been truly happy.
Felicia, 36

First I
deny I have it until I'm literally passing out from symptoms. Then I try and live with it
and when that fails I resort to the greatest medicine ever created - NyQuill. When I've
reached that stage I'm like an addict with methodone. Heck even DayQuill will show up from
tiem to time (but watch out for the heartburn). But it's the Green death taste that will
always have a warm place in my (sleepy) heart. ;)

My treatment for a cold is Orange Juice,
Orange Juice, and more Orange Juice...
