Are there any television commercials that really grate on your nerves?

Many, many! Right now it's probably the Cottonelle ads (I don't know if they're international).

Yes. There are always plenty of commercials that bother me. Right now, I'm so sick of the "Can you hear me now? Good" commercials that it's just about unbelievable.

Lots, especially the one where the man is selling vacuum bags for clothes storage.

An ad for a soft cheese and breadsticks product called Dairylea Dunkers really annoys me. The advert features these two chubby kids dressed up like the Kray brothers making typical East London gangster threats to the breadsticks before eating them. It pisses me off no end - their
voices are so shrill and the whole thing is just too hammy for words. I can't watch it.

Almost every car commercial (except those by VW). The idea of seeing one more car winding its way down a curvey road or splashing through water makes me groan. Can't they come up with
something more enticing than that.

Well, besides that "Can you hear me now" cell phone guy...I also cant stand those stupid Geico/Gecko commercials, those Dell commercials featuring the "Dell Interns," the collect call (1 800 CALL ATT) commercials featuring comedian Carrot top and Ponderosa's theme songed commercial "If you want a family meal with a western type appeal...come on and get it.
Everytime I hear that song it get stuck in my head all day and drives me insane!

The question should be: Are there any TV commercials that don't grate on your nerves? and my answer would be very, very few. For some reason the Yao commercial still cracks me up even though it is a very one joke commercial. And I like the one that plays on the Kevin Bacon game. Most of the time I ignore, mute or channel surf during commercials.

Alflack and those pathetically ignorant "SUV's support terrorism" commercials. Next I suppose heating our houses with oil and sending our kids to school on those big yellow buses support terrorism too. Where does it end?

Two come to mind. #1 would have to be the Ditech.com ads. The guy who's in it is really stupid. If he knows his customers are going to go to ditech.com, why doesn't he quit his job and look for one at Ditech? #2 is the Sun Trust ads. You know - the one where Ben Franklin sings "Don't you want me baby"? On the channels I watch, I swear they play that ad every five minutes!

I don't own a TV so I wouldn't know. However, the radio station that I listen to runs ads for "East West Mortgage Company" which drive me nuts. I switch stations whenever they come on the air.

That incredibly stupid commercial where the girl is "dancing" (or whatever the hell it is that she's
doing). THAT commercial really grates on my nerves for some reason. Oh yeah, and any Old Navy
commercial. Those are just really annoying.

I don't watch commercials. It isn't a form of protest or anything, I just don't feel glued.

Car commercials. I'm not going to buy a car just because it zoomed by on the TV. They don't tell you anything except how much money WON'T be in your pocket afterwards.

Tracy, 24

I don't watch television.

Jill, 61

Sure. All of them. I wish they didn't exist. I don't watch TV much, but I'd probably watch it more if there were no commercials.

William, 27

There is a Car insurance commerical that I've only heard on the radio. They play it about every 30 mintues and the woman on there is so annoying. And there is awful high pitch noises that they do to get your attention. Like nails down a chalk board. UGH!
