What physical characteristics or personality traits do you wish you had inherited from your other parent?

I'd like to have had my dad's keen eyes, fair coloring and single-mindedness. Physically, I'm more like my mother, but I wish I had her even temper.

Actually, I'm quite please with my genetic inheritance and am happy to have inherited well from both sides. I do however, hope that I inherit the long and good health from my mom and the not somewhat spotty health of my dad.

Sometimes, I wish I had the beauty of my mother... she was wonderful, long, black hair going down to her hips... I have simple brown hair, and I inherited from my father that it starts to cede soon...

But in the last seven months, I have been together online with a wonderful girl, and although we haven't met yet, I don't feel so ugly anymore because there is a person out there who likes me for what I am, and not for what I look like.

Yes, I think in such moments as those I have with her, I'm simple and plain happy, and that feels good.

Did I really fashion a question without a clear referent? Neither of my parents would have approved. Shame on me.

I guess I would say that with my father, the physical trait I wish I would have inherited would have been his weight. He was 6"1" and weighed 180. I am 5"6 and weigh 190. Of course I have taken medicine's he never took that can cause weight gain and I have a thyroid problem also that he did not have.

As for my mother I wish I would have picked up her creativity and artistic ability. She outs some of it ot use in her crafts.

Actually, my physical characteristics and personality that stem from a combination of my mother and my father of only 2 years, turned out great.  But I would say I am more like my mother by 10 fold. She is my hero and my friend. Growing up without a father wasn't tough at all, especially with a woman like her.

This is a little weird, but I wish I'd inherited my mom's longer torso and narrower waist, as opposed to my build. I have really long legs and a short, kinda thick torso that is incredibly hard to tone!

I honestly can't think of any.

From my other parent? As opposed to the one I got all my traits from?

My mother was patience personified. Me? I don't even like to wait for the water to boil when I'm making a cup of tea.

What would I do with such a Monkey's Paw?

1. I'd wish I had a a little bit more pleasant look
2. I'd wish I could be together with the girl of my dreams, with whom I chat a lot
but haven't seen or met yet, the rest of my life
3. I'd wish that at every point in my life when there's a hard situation, I will stay cool enough to make the right decision and always keep a feeling of security

I would like to be more out-going and comfortable in social situations like my Mom rather than shy and quiet like my Dad.

I most inherited my traits from my dad, for which I am glad. My mother had quite a few traits that I am glad that she did not pass on to me. However, she also had some good ones, that I wish she had passed on to me. She loved her flowers, and I kill plastic plants. She could make the best herb bread you could ever eat, and I never got the knack. But mostly, I wish I had her hospitality trait. She loved people and knew how to entertain and do things to make people happy. She is gone now, and those traits are gone too, but, I have a lot of good memories of her.

Although I inherited his dry sense of humour, my father is very laid back and easy going, and I wish I could be more like that. I can seem cold and miserable at times (but then most teenagers do at some time) but I feel like my father could get on well with Satan. I'd like to be as amicable as him.

I have no idea. My parents divorced when I wasn't even two years old, so I never knew my biological father.

I inherited so much from my mother, it's almost scary. That's fine but I DO wish I'd inherited my father's friendliness and likability. Most people liked my father as soon as they met him.
