What routine, if any, do you follow in the morning?Well, I don't actually
wake up until the afternoon. Usually around 2. I'll take a shower, brush my
teeth...the usual. Then I usually sit around until I have to go to work or if I'm not
working I call up my friends and make plans.

Get up at 5:45, dash into the
shower, speed dry my hair and wiggle into my work clothes for the day... all of this
theoretically before my son wakes up. Then feed the
boy, play a little, dress him and make the mad dash to daycare. Followed by the one hour
commute to work where I simultaneously put on makeup and eat breakfast. Two more days to
go this week...whew.

Same thing every morning...not much changes
morning to morning. Shower first, breakfast next, then dressed and hair/makeup. I
just have to have a shower first. The whole day is messed up if I don't. Weird?

firstly, my mum shouts me out of bed in the
most irritating voice that she can muster up, then another five minutes sleep always seems
like a good idea, get out of bed, get dressed, washed, cup of coffee and two slices of
toast and roll into work five minutes late, damn that five minutes.

The dogs jump on the bed and wake me up. I
pet them until I've decided they've had enough. I let the dogs out. I brush my teeth. I
let the dogs in and feed them. About 3 days each week I go to the gym for a little more
than an hour. After the gym, I come home, eat breakfast, shower and go to work.
This is what I do when I'm home. Frequently
my work has me on the road and then I don't have any routine.

I have two different morning
routines:
On days when I have to go to the university,
I get up, turn on the coffee maker and lie down again; then, I have to get up every five
minutes to turn off the alarm clock (I have two to make sure I get up) as it will repeat
every five minutes. After twenty minutes I will get up, brush my teeth and wash myself,
then dress, drink my coffee, get my rucksack, go out of the hosue, get my newspaper and
head of for the train station...
On days on which I have nothing to do I will
sleep long, need about five hours to get up and basically do nothing...

Wash my face and brush my teeth. Take
Fosamax, a pill to increase bone density that must be taken on an empty stomach at least
1/2 hour before eating or drinking anything else. Put the dog outside on his rope. Make
coffee, set up the tea. Pour juice. Dish out applesauce. Get dressed. Check e mail.
Collect the morning newspapers.

I have a crazy morning. Up at 4:00
AM - I have always been an early riser, but this is
earlier than it used to be due to my 10 month old child. This gives me about 1 hour to
wake up and do what I want to do which is mostly things on line - check E-mail, read the
news, check the weather. My baby wakes up around 5:00 and we do the baby things - change
diaper, have breakfast, play something messy (paint, play dough, etc), have a bath and get
the baby dressed. Then I put him down to play on his own while I clean up things from
yesterday - do the evening dishes, pick up the toys on the floor, make sure clothes made
it to the laundry, empty the trash and the diaper genie, etc. My husband gets up about
7:00 (he does the night feedings and takes care of the kid all day - so mornings are my
time.) Once he is awake I can take a shower, get dressed, get my things together and walk
the dog. At 7:45 I rock the baby with a bottle and sing to him, then put him down for his
morning nap at 8:00. Then I am off to walk to work where I start at 8:15. Yes - I
guess I certainly have a morning routine. :-)
Deb
i follow the exact same routine every school
day morning: wake up; get dressed; have breakfast; wash my face; brush my teeth and then
leave. What can I say, I'm a boring person.

Put on the coffee and put some sausages in

Felicia, 35

wake up, groan, wait, wake up again
- take a long shower - come back down and start the
computer up, to get me some music to go with another day beginning - dress, and all that -
pack my bag for the day. leave. all of which takes, yeh, longer than what this sounds like
- like, an hour or so.
on my way to work i stop by at the coffeebar
to get me two croissants and a chocolate chip cookie - so when i get to work i make myself
a cup of tea and have my breakfast while switching on the computer and waiting for the
programs and e-mail to load.

Hear my alram at 6. sleep until 6:30. get up
and do all the necessary hygienic crap and wander off to school--I always light up my
morning smoke outside the front door and toss it into the open gutter in front of the
white house on the corner on the way to the busstop... other than that, the itinerary of my day varies...

I usually wake up between 6:30 and 7:15 and turn on News Channel 8 for the weather
forecast. Lately I've been slacking off a bit in the mornings - checking my e-mail first,
skipping breakfast, staring at the news rather than just the weather, etc. I'm supposed to
leave by 7:45 but I tend to get out the door closer to 7:50 or 7:55.

I wake up with the alarm clock and make sure
my daughter is awake for school. I go downstairs and put the water on to boil for tea.
Come back upstairs and log onto internet, reading news and responding to emails while the
bathroom is occupied by my teenager. Enjoy my cup of tea and morning smoke...then shower
and dress after the schoolbus comes. I leave for work just about the same time every day.

I get up around 6, stumble into the
bathroom, and turn on the shower. I'm in there for about 15 minutes, and then I shave, do
my hair, put stuff on my zits, etc. I come down for breakfast around 6:45, and then brush
my teeth before I leave for school.

Weekdays: I'm woken up at about 6:45
A.M. I think unhealthy thoughts about having to wake up this early to go to school. My
mother brings me a cup of coffee at 7:00 A.M, I drink
it and roll over and try to get back to sleep. At 7:30 my alarm goes off and I angrily and
sleepily head to the bathroom to get washed. Then I go back to bed for about 15 minutes,
get back up, get ready for school, get breakfast, then head to the bus stop to face
another hellish day in school. Weekends: I wake up freely at about 9 A.M., laze around in
bed for about half an hour, then watch weird children's cartoons like Pokemon, Sailormoon
and Cow & Chicken until noon.

my alarm radio is set to go off at 5:45 and
i lay in my bed until the people on the radio finish with the news (at 6:01). on a blue
moon at this time i get out of bed, but usually i lay in my bed some more until about
6:15, when my mom yells up the stairs to get up or i'm gonna be late. sometimes i wake up,
but usually i just lay until 6:20 or 6:25 or so (i cant help it; my bed is really comfy).
then i get up and yell at myself for not getting up in enough time and tomorrow i'm gonna
get out of bed right at 5:45. then i take my shower, and i dry my hair, and i do my
makeup, and i eat breakfast, all really quickly and tell my mom to drive fast cuz school
starts in 10 minutes and i live 20 minutes away. and the next morning, i forgot all chaos
from the day before and go through the entire routine all over again. i dont do very well
in the mornings.

When I awake I first stagger into
the bathroom and brush my teeth. (That usually wakes me
up.) Then I go to the kitchen and take an asthma pill, back to the bathroom and put my
makeup on (lipstick and eyeliner), get dressed, make the bed, uncover the cockatiel, play
with the cat, watch the news, then I'm off. Takes 30-45 mins.
