If you had your choice, what time period would you have liked to lived in?

I always said I'd have loved to have experienced the 30s and 40s. I like the clothes, the cars, the fact that people had to work hard and be extremely supportive of one another, and I especially like the music of that era.

I'm pretty happy with this one, actually.

Actually, I am very happy with the time period that we are currently living in. I am glad I dont have to wash my clothes by hand, kill my own food or anything like that. I am pleased with current technology and happy not to live in a world that is any more crowded.

I would have loved to be a hippy in the late 60's and early 70's!

I'm happy where I am at. Although if forced to choose, at this moment I would choose to be born at the the beginning of the 20th century. Can you imagine the immense changes that took place in the last 100 years. From having no cars to walking on the moon to decoding the human genome? Must have been amazing to see all that happen.

I wouldn't want to live in any other time period than now. I think this is one of the best times that you could be living, because of everything we've come up with.

Ancient Egypt! I just think that's one of the most fascinating parts of history!!

I would have loved to have lived in the 1940's or 1950's.

middle ages

The 1950's, when cars were big, gas was cheap, and America was king of the world!

Hmm...i honestly would have to say right now. There's no other time like the present in my opinion. there's so much bad stuff, but it makes me so much more encouraged to do good stuff :)

I would have liked to live in the days of the long dresses kind of the Gone With The Wind era. I loved their clothing then and the style of living except for the Civil War.

I'd prefer something in the future, not sure when though.

I would have loved to live in the early 1900's in Europe. The outfits and dress of the times were just wonderful. but I would want to be in the elite class of course due to sickness and poverty of the time.

Now is good. Every time period has its high and low points, so I can't see that switching times would be that great a thing. Especially since the person I want to spend the rest of my life with is alive now.

Well, actually, not too long ago. I think it would've been cool to live during the 60's. From Beatlemania to Woodstock, to the war and all the protests, it seems like a very interseting time to have grown up in.

I wish I was 16 in 1967. I'd follow the Grateful Dead around for a few years, and smoke a joint with Bob Dylan.

I like the time period that I am living in now. But I think I would like really know what it was like to live as a pioneer in the mid-19th century.

Because of several medical problems, I would not have lived to be 60 years old in any other historical era.

This one. Or maybe 100 years in the future, But things might be worse by then. Women were too oppressed in previous eras.

Late forties/early fifties. I have this totally idealized picture of those times and I woulda loved to have seen those times. I have all of these pictures of my grandparents during that era and something about it seems so romantic and optimistic to me, I would have loved to have known my grandparents when they were my age.

I think I would have liked the 40's, when the entire nation worked together to support the guys who were fighting in WWII.

i would like to live back when there were horse and buggies, and a mans word really was his bond, i dont know why, maybe im a incurable romantic, i just would like it better in the simpler times.

I would have liked to have lived in ancient Greece: hanging out with guys like Socrates, Sophocles, Euripides, and Pericles. They totally reek of awesomeness. I would not want to live in ancient Rome because they were such a violent society. I like fake violence (i.e. pro wrestling), not real violence. I might have wanted to live in the 1960s, hanging out with JJ (I can't use her real name, because I do not want to upset one of the 2000 dazed people)....I'd also like to hang out with Ken Kesey and try the Electric Kool Aid Acid Test.
