Have
you ever encountered road rage?I get pissed at people who cut me off or run stop signs when
it's my turn or something, but I've never actually gotten as bad as road rage. And I've
had people get angry at me when I inadvertently do things like that, but nobody's ever
actually gone crazy on me.

If you haven't...you really live in the
middle of nowhere!

I don't drive--I walk everywhere I
go, and I STILL experience road rage. Believe me, an icy glare from an annoyed pedestrian
passing in front of your car can intimidate a driver
three times more than all the bird-flipping and horn-honking a person can do from inside
their own vehicle.

If you mean " felt road rage", no.
I'm accustomed to human error and human error being personally inconvenient. If you mean
"observed road rage", yes. I ignore road rage as a manifestation of bad manners.

In mild doses.

I can't say that I have other than the
occassional desire to race someone or think that someone else is an idiot.

I've been on both the giving and receiving
end of road rage. It's awful, but it happens.

I don't drive but my husband does
and one day I think I saw an example of road rage. We
were driving along when for no apparent reason another car started tailgating us really
close. After doing that for awhile, the car forced us over to the shoulder and we came to
a stop. A big, burly, unshaven guy who looked like he had been drinking was driving the
other car and came over to our parked car and hollared at us through closed windows,
something about us driving a foreign-made car (a Toyota) and not being true Americans. He
was very angry and yelled and cursed. I was afraid he was going to take a gun out and
shoot us and as soon as we could, we got out of there. Thank goodness he didn't follow us.

Yes. Some guy was all bent out of shape
about the line to get gas at a rest stop on the Garden State Parkway. He whipped his car
around the very crowded area, backed into a spot between two cars, and yelled at the
attendant to fill his tank. (In NJ you cannot fill your own gas tank. And the gas is
cheaper than here! But I digress.)
Ordinarily I ignore jerks like him. But he
had a newborn baby strapped into the back seat. Before I pulled away, I suggested that he
take a few minutes to regain his composure. He cussed me a blue streak. I looked in my
rear view mirror for a long time after I pulled out. I was afraid he was going to hunt me
down.

I don't drive that much right now and even
when I did it was never really around rush hour, so nothing's really jumping to mind.

I've experienced it. Heheh. :P never

Yes more than a couple of times. I had a
crazy man try to run me off the road. Anotehr one tried to push me into the side of a
truck. Another hard braked about twenty feet ahead of me, at 70 mph, to a dead stop,
just because he felt I was following too closely. People are nuts.

Have I EVER! For anyone that has ever been
in the KC area, Johnson County drivers are HORRIBLE! They are the worst drivers ever,
never use turn signals or look to see if there is oncoming traffic, then they blame you
when they do something wrong.
Anjel, 20
Not to an extreme extent, but once
or twice, yes.

I never encountered road rage personally.
But I did see a incident of road rage but thank god no one got hurt. It was a couple of
years ago and my husband and I got off the interstate in Ohio and two other cars got off.
We got in the left lane the other two cars got in the right lane to turn. The second car a
young man got out with a bat and came up to the first car and the drivers had words and
then the guy in the first car said something like you want to fight and he reached over to
his glove compartment and pulled out a gun well at that point the driver from the second
car with the bat turned and went back to his car. I really thought there was going to be a
shooting right then. That is the nearest that I have been to road rage. It is frightening
to think these things can happen.

Not in the extreme sense. I have heard
stories though, about guns and black eyes with people I know. That's just pure insanity
right there.

I observed a couple of incidents of it when
I lived in Florida, and I was grateful that it wasn't directed at me. Most drivers in
Oregon are far too polite to indulge in such bad manners.
Jane, 60

No, I haven't... but I guess I can pretty
much enrage people to get angry at me in the traffic, I mean... for example, I always obey
the speed limits, I overtake on a two-lane-per-direction highway even if from behind
someone approaches who is 50 miles per hour faster, if he was far enough away when I
satrted - because I think I have as much a right to overtake as he has. Yes, I confess I
like to pi** people off by obeying to the traffic laws. Guilty as charged :-) Hey,
wait, that wasn't the question... ah... okay... :-)
