Did you watch cartoons as a child?

Yes, and I still do.

Ryan, 29
Riedlingen GERMANY

Of course. And then had to listen to them while my kids watched them and now the grandkids. I think I have heard them all. I always say if I like cartoons and sports I would have lots to watch on TV.

Heck yeah. All I know about life was learned from the Jetsons, Bugs Bunny, and DuckTales. Where have all the good cartoons go? I miss the Tick. What has become of Darkwing Duck? That's it. I gotta go. I'm gonna see if i can download some Muppet Babies.

I did. Oh okay, I don't mind dating myself here a little. I watched things like Heckle and Jeckle, Tom and Jerry, Casper, Mighty Mouse (oh yeah... here he comes to save the dayyyyyy) and let's not forget Betty Boop. Flintstones came along later on and that was one of my favorites as an older watcher... that and Jetsons!

I see our fenced yard and bird feeder, beyond that, a couple of maples, barbed-wire fence, pasture, and sometimes cows and calves.

Because my father was involved in setting up one of the first television stations in the country, we had a television set in 1948. The transmitting station was on top of a local mountain and we could get Channel 13, the only channel. I suppose there were occasional cartoons, but the idea of
a children as a profitable market for toys, cereal and fast food hadn't been

Only at the movies. I was a child before TV.

Oh God, yes! I couldn't wait till Saturday mornings! I watched Scooby-Doo, Captain Caveman, Jabberjaw, Hong Kong Fooyey, Sigmund the Seamonster, HR Puffenstuff, Land of the Lost...all those classic, cheesy 70's cartoons! I actually bought a few Land of the Lost videos from Amazon.com so that my 9 year old son could watch them. He laughed and said "Mom, seriously...you actually LIKED this stuff!"

Tam

Not really. I periodically watch cartoons as an adult :P powerpuff girls rule :)

Talia, 25

I was devoted to cartoons, especially Bugs Bunny. My father used to watch Bugs with us.

Laura, 38

Of course! I love(ed) cartoons! She-Ra was my favorite along with Jem, Glow Worm, My Little Pony, Thunder cats, Ghost Busters, Care Bears, GI Joe and a pile of others.

What freak didn't?!

Stephanie, 27

Scooby Doo was my favorite. I watched afterschool cartoons like Magilla Gorilla, Underdog, Mighty Mouse, and Deputy Droopalong. However, I tended to like life action fare like the Banana Splits, H and R Puffenstuff, and Sigmund the Sea Monster better.

I don't remember much about my childhood but I'm sure I did. I wasn't hooked on them, though.

YUP! Go Speed Racer Go!!

Tracy, 24

Occasionally at the movies. We didn't have a TV until I was past the cartoon stage.

Jane, 63

My first crush was the cartoon Tarzan - King of the Jungle. I learned to love classical music courtesy of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and the rest. I still enjoy animated movies and TV shows, though Saturday morning cartoons based on products don't thrill me. I like The Simpsons and King of the Hill, but seldom see them because my husband does not like to watch animated programs.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

All the time - Thundercats, Dungeons & Dragons, He-Man, that kind of stuff. I sometimes watch the newer kids cartoons, but the vast majority are inane shit.

Aly, 17
Cardiff UK

Did then, still do. South Park and The Simpsons are two of the best shows on of any kind.

Alias Irrelevante

Certainly. And there was no of the VCR, video or DVD nonsense. We had to wait all week until Saturday morning to watch. The Farmer's Almanac (Came on before the sun was up), Crusader Rabbit, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, later on Scooby Doo, Speed Racer, Batman.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

Yes, I watched Rugrats and Doug on Nickelodeon.

Melodi, 19

As a child? I STILL watch cartoons!

Doug2, 30

Yes. I watched Popeye, Felix the Cat, lots of Disney and Warner Brothers, all in black and white.
