If you had a patron saint, what would her / his story be?

The patron saint of trying to do two things at once and the patron saint of being in two places at once. Maybe I should have the patron saint of can there be more time in a day saint??!!

I don't quite understand this question but I do know what a saint is. I've always admired St. Francis, who gave up all he had in order to serve others. I'd like to be like him.

Interesting question! I don't usually think in terms of patron saints. It would have to be someone who triumphed over adversity and did not become a martyr. Rather, he or she would have come through with their central humanity and concern for other people intact.

I have no idea.

St. Vincent de Paul
It would be impossible to enumerate all the works of this servant of God. Charity was his predominant virtue. It extended to all classes of persons, from forsaken childhood to old age. He is the patron of charitable societies.

Wonder Boy

I guess his / her story would have spent their life attending to the mundane and trying to always do what was right (often failing), but never loosing sight that it is the trying that is important.

She would be a woman who had a fun, frivolous youth and grew up to be very competent, self-reliant woman with no need of a man to hinder her happiness.

I fancy that my patron saint would be St. Verbage, patron saint of writers. St. Verbage's claim to fame was that for years his labor of love was painstakingly recording in writing other people's religious stories, tirelessly checking the works for spelling and grammar errors, putting a special light into all the works he touched. All the while holding in his heart a wonderful secret, a beautiful story that he would not permit himself to share until he had finished the work he promised God that he would do. He finished his final recording and finally began working on his piece. He wrote the first line: "God revealed to me the secrets of the universe." And then he died. He was found with a beatific smile on his face and his favorite pen in hand.
