What is your favorite decade, why?

I'd have to say the 80s. People just dressed so stupid and the music was great!

The one I happen to be living in -- because I'm alive.

The 80s are mine. Why, look at the music, television, and movies. Can you argue with Duran Duran, the A-Team, and Back To the Future, just to name just a few gems from a simpler time....

I don't know. All decades have their high points and low points. I like this one a lot because I got the guy I was after to go out with me and then to marry me. It's also nice to be an adult and to get a proofreading job once in a while, and I love having my frogs. There are low points, too--it's hard to find a steady job, I have endometriosis, my cat died, etc. Every decade I've lived in has had good and bad points like these, and I'm not fit to judge decades I haven't lived in.

I enjoyed life the most during the 70s. I like looking back on the corny-ness of that decade, and all of the great opportunites I had back then (most of which I smirked at ~ thinking I'd still have a chance at them later on in life). I still enjoy the music of that decade also...the 70s were a cool time to be in my late teens and early 20s.

I'd have to say the 50s. That's when I grew up and it was so much fun. I didn't realize we were poor because everyone else I knew was, too. We didn't have a TV or a car but no one else I knew did either. Movies were 25 cents. No one worried about fat and calories. Halloween was a fun time and parents didn't have to check our candy for razor blades. After school we divided our time between the Mickey Mouse Club (remember Annette Funicello?) and American Bandstand (remember Kenny and Arlene?).

I guess I've loved all three and a half decades that I've lived through. The '70's were wonderful because that's where I spent my childhood. The 80's represent my youth, my frivolous freedom, fun, beauty, carefree frolicking. The 90's were spent being a young mother and watching this miracle of mine learn to talk and walk and become an individual. And now in the 2000's,
the wonder of parenthood is still there...but there is more freedom, since my son is older.
I feel I have gained more wisdom, I'm more comfortable in my own body and with the way I am. I am content.

80's, because they were my childhood, and when I was having fun with cool 80s stuff before I learned that people are mean and that I was cripplingly shy.

I'm in a nostalgia free zone at the moment.

Musically, the 80's... a loved the rock bands of that time. Movies, the 90's... Lots of action and the technology just kept getting better and better. But, for my life, the 00's as that is the decade I met my wife, married, inherited two wonderful step-children and bought my first home. So far, this is the best decade.

They've all been great, but I guess I'd say the fifties. Just showing my age.

Late sixties to seventies. Cause that's when I was young and fun! janet,

1990's because that's when I "grew up". I was between 10 & 20 years old during the last decade.

Melodi, 19

I'm going to say the 1970s because those were my formative years and they were basically carefree - though the family dynamics were not so good. But I was basically happy and unfettered.

I miss the 90's. I used to be able to turn on my radio and here nothing but great rock music all the time. Right now in 2003 I'm listening to an accoustic Foo Fighters recording of Everlong. God I miss the 90's.
