I live alone, so I can enjoy silence at home
any time I want. At work it is fairly quiet, but if I have to have silence I take out my hearing aids and put in ear
plugs.

Last week when I rode my mountain bike through the woods and fields behind my house and stopped at the lake to watch a pair of Canadian Geese with their two goslings. I just sat there in the silence of nature for about an hour. It was wonderful.
