What is your favorite tree?

Pine trees for their smell, maple trees for their leaves and wood, birch / poplar for their bark

I like maples. There were lots of them around when I was a child, and maple leaves were my favorites to trace around and color.

Birch, they're always good for kindling.

I have very fond memories of a maple tree and a copper beech, of a magnolia and a spectacular ash; of an elm (done in by Dutch elm) and almost all bonsai trees.
