people who drive in the emergency lane and
people who dont move out of the way for emergency vehicles. you should treat the emergency
lanes/vehicles as you would want people to if the ambulence/firetruck/policeman were
coming to YOUR aid.

People who open new containers of milk or
juice instead of finishing the old ones. And, professionally, people who have not grasped
that computers do what you tell them to do, not what you meant to tell them to do.

I am a member in good standing of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). I have taught our church's Doctrine class
and feel I know a fair amount about the running of our church. My pet peeve is people who
think they know all about Mormonism because they've read a book by a person who is NOT
Mormon or they've seen a TV program filmed by anti-Mormons. My friends have told me things
about my church that they have heard and SWEAR ARE THE TRUTH and refuse to believe me when
I tell them that what they have heard is false...that it's not that way at all. But they
refuse to believe me, a knowledgeable Latter-day Saint. No, it's easier and more fun to
believe what an anti-Mormon says. This really bothers me and makes me angry just writing
about it.

People who yell about everything as
if there's something they can say at that volume that
they can't say at a more reasonable one, people who say 'could care less' when they mean
'couldn't,' people who don't realize that many people who don't like religion got
enough of it when they were younger, people who don't realize that 'biggest' refers to
just one, people who end every sentence in dot dot dot...

Being
stuck in crowds, or behind a big group of slow-moving people. I've been calling my
condition "claustro-angst," because crowds don't make me *afraid* as such.

My biggest pet peeve is people who
make assumptions on me based on appearances. Also, I
don't like people telling me what's wrong with my life.

I can't stand when I hold the door open for

My biggest peeve is people who refuse to see
both sides of things, people that are so locked into their belief system that
they refuse to see the good in other people's lifestyles or belief systems. Grrr!
Maggie, 20

Drive to work and people who cut over from
the left hand lane to get into the exit ramp. God forbid they wait in traffic like to rest
of us. They just want to zip on over from the left lane without waiting like the rest of
us.!!!! As you can tell this drives me crazy!!
Janet, 42

people that lie, and people that constantly complain

Great question but I have a list. I was
going to have tailgaters at the top of the list but I've caught myself doing it if I'm
really in a hurry and have some Sunday driver in front of me...sooo, not fair. How about
grossly overweight folks who incessantly complain about it but do nothing to help
themselves and spend a lifetime chalking it up to heredity. UGH. Another huge peeve of
mine is cell phones in theaters. If you're waiting for a call that's THAT important, you
shouldn't be at the theater. Even if you're a doctor for cripes sake, get a vibrating
pager! That's enough for now...but I could go on for about a month and in fact I have
created an entire webpage on this topic (with a bit of humor of course)!

Jeremy, 13
Highlands Ranch, CO USA
Disrespect and rudeness. I really
can't stand it, whether it's directed to me or to
someone else. I get really upset when I see someone pass a nun and not hold the door or
something. Left over Catholic school girl in me I guess. No matter where I am, if I know
them or not, I tell a sister hello, good morning, and does she need help carrying
anything? The other side of that is people who are rude to wait staffs and retail
workers. Grow up dammit and get a spine. Stop taking it out on the people who wait on you.
Believe me, they are thinking the same thing about you when you pull that attitude.
