How do you relax?

Reading seems to be the main thing right now. Trying to catch up on some Kerouac since they have two festivals for him here. Also the place I just moved to is right across the street from a decent size park with a couple of basketball courts.

Outdoor activities such as hiking or skiing work wonders althgouh I'm often too wiped out to motivate myself to these things. A hot shower and a candlelight room with soothing music and nice sents works. Laying around in the sun or in front of the TV don't really do the trick since they tend to make me more aggitated.

Listen to music or read. I like them both, because they kind of let me take my mind off of stressful stuff... like school, the dentist, high school, and the 20 billion projects I need to complete before next year!!!!!!

The PERFECT relaxing evening:
1. Wear the most comfortable clothes you have. I perfer a big sweater
and comfy jeans.
2. Turn off all the ringers so you won't be disturbed.
3. Make sure no one is home except you. If this isn't possible, go to aroom by yourself.
4. Get yourself something really rich and fattening to eat.
5. Curl up in your favourite couch or chair with a blanket.
6. Turn on your favourite TV show or music.

Fill up the whirlpool tub, light some nice candles, pop in a Tori Amos cd... ahhhh nice.  Or just get in the car and scream until I feel better. Whatever works.

Many ways. I like a hot bath with a good book. I enjoy reminscing about the days when I didn't even feel a need to relax. I like to look through an old photo album, mine or someone elses. A hot cup of tea and a really challenging crossword puzzle. Throw a lawn chair up on the dock and stare out at the pond. Good conversation...just plain old good conversation. Get online and surf random sites. And my favorite way to relax - a drive. Doesn't have to be a long, country drive...but I enjoy getting behind the wheel without a destination. Good question - made me relax just answering it.

My idea of relaxing is to read a book, while taking short breaks to pet my cat and watch out the windows at my bird feeders. No TV or computer.

I put on my flannel pajamas, get into my bed and watch tv. If I get bored I read a magazine or book until I fall asleep. I also have a cup of hot chocolate or tea and eat something fattening and evil, like Oreos! Hmmm, I think I need to go relax.....

I like to put on my comfy pajamas and warm socks and a nice warm cozy blanket and sit on the couch and watch tv. If I just need to relax at the end of the day, I just enjoy reading a book before bed.

A nice hot bath, a back rub. Or I find that gardening is very relaxing and tranquil for me.

Listen to punk or alternative rock. It sounds weird, but the noisier and faster it is, the better I feel.

I relax primarily by writing, reading (read 32 books for far this year),  hanging out with my animals, watching pro wrestling, doing the cross-dressing thing (don't ask me why I do that), and going for walks. Hey, that stuff works for me.
