Would
you do the work you do now, if you had $500,000 in the bank? No, I would use it to
go to school to become an RN
Melodi, 19
Hlliard, OH
USA
Absolutly
Jami, 27
Lowell, MA
USA
Yes, I love what I do.
Jane, 60
West Linn, OR
USA
Hell no!!! I would go to school full
time so I can do what I want to do, not what I am doing
now.
Maggie, 20
Sandwich, IL
USA
Yes, I would just be doing it in a lot nicer
wardrobe.
Susan, 31
Chicago, IL
USA
Yes. I have a good job, and I think $500,000
wouldn't really allow me to quit. However, it would allow me to pay off the mortgage, it
would allowthe wife to forget about part-time freelance work and to concentrate on raising
our child, it would allow us to not worry about the bills...
Jesse, 24
Bowie, MD
USA
I think I would, depends on if my boss is
being a "boss" then. I mean, I would have the power for once saying I could
these this job at any time since I really didn't have to be there for the $, it was more
of a favor and lifetime security considering something might happen to the $. Ya never
know.
Stephanie, 24
TX USA
Without a doubt. If you stopped working, you
would get bored after awhile.
Kate, 19
Bellingham, WA USA
The timing of the recent work
questions is kind of funny. I'm answering this from the Career Center (today's version of
the unemployment office and job training center).
Alias Irrelevante
I'm not entirely sure. I'd probably try to
force myself to stay working here until I just couldn't stand it, then I'd quit in a way
that would leave the door open in case I spent all my money.
Firelady, 22
Dallas, TX
USA
Absolutely not!!!!
Tina, 31
Medford, MA
USA
No way. When I first began this job, I
enjoyed it and found it satisfying and rewarding. Slowly but surely my
"responsibilities" have been taken away and given to new employees (Could it be
my age?) and now I can't WAIT to retire.
Reba, 50
Rockville, MD
USA
I really enjoy what I do. I don't $500,000
would tempt me from working. It however would allow me to feel completely settled about my
future retirement.
Felicia, 34
Lowell, MA
USA
I don't have a job, but if i did
then yes i would, because $500, 000 won't last forever.
Dianne, 16
Oshawa, Ontario CANADA
Oh sure, I just LOVE filing so much, I would
do it even if I didn't need the money. In case you didn't notice that is dripping with
sarcasm. Although I would miss the people I work with.
Mick, 30
Chicago, IL
USA
Not my day job. Theater, yes, but not the
day job.
Kim, 30
New York, NY USA
I'd probably hire a day worker for routine
house cleaning.
Jill, 59
Saylorsburg, PA USA
hell no especially since im only 16
Brooke, 16
Memphis, TN
USA
I am not working now and am lokking
for a job so if I had $500.000 i would pay off my bills
and do some traveling but I still would work I would invest the rest.
Marci, 55
Diamond, OH
USA
Yes I would, only I'd do it for free. In
fact, I worked for a small stipend ($100/week) for 4 years and had no money in the bank.
If I had $500,000 in the bank, I'd go back to doing it for free. I am firmly
committed to the mission of the nonprofit that I work for.
Laura, 35
Lowell, MA
USA
Probably. I don't think that's enough to
live on forever.
Shanna, 15
Cardiff ENGLAND
Definitely not. If I had that much money
saved, I'd take a small vacation and quit my job. I wouldn't stop working, but I'd
be able to take the time to find a good job, rather than working here because I
needed a job several months ago and this was the first thing I got. I
etoile, 19
Washington, DC USA
If I had $500,000 in the bank I'd probably
spend it instantly, so yeah.
Karen, 21
Marshelltown/Ames, IA USA
Well, I think I'd switch stay at
work but switch to part-time. Then I'd get serious about spending those extra hours
working on the book I'd like to publish.
Fisch, 45
Preston, CT
USA
Yes!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
no way. . .I would quit right away and take
about a week off before looking for the job in the field I want to work in. . .this is
going to be happening anyway in the next couple months, so it would just be quickening the
process.
mothmc, 36
Los Angeles, CA USA
Yeah
Savannah
no
Jade, 16
AUSTRALIA
Absolutely, especially since $500,000 isn't
a lot of money anymore. But I would definitely take my Europe trip and buy the
fireplace with Anthony.
Amy, 23
New Orleans, LA USA
Sure, just not every day.
Janet, 42
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
um...hmmm...i'd finish up this degree, then
ZOOM, I'm gone...find a quiet cabin with a modem and hermitize until the money runs out
Anthony, 25
Baton Rouge, LA USA
Probably
not.

Sugar Hill, GA USA
