An "All A Girl Needs For Her First Apartment" Tool Kit (tm) my dad
bought me a few years back for, you guessed it, my
first apartment. It's complete with one of those several head fit things for a screwdriver, hammer,
wrench, pliers, and a bunch of other stuff I'll never use since I wouldn't know what
to do with it.

Before I got married I owned a screwdriver
that has smaller and smaller screwdrivers inside each handle, a hammer, nails and a
yardstick. Now we have a whole bunch of stuff that I'm not really too interested in.

The minimum household basics --
screwdrivers, wrenches, hammer, sturdy scissors, etc.
Or do you count all the kitchen tools, in which case I would include can openers,
corkscrews, good knives, apple corers, spatulas, and all that ilk.

Everything! My Dad is a tool nut so he
thinks I should have everything too. It's really a good thing because if I need it,
it's there. Basic screwdriver set, hammer, assortment of nails, screws and picture hanging
devices, drill and complete bit set (wood, metal and concrete), everything I need to
change the oil in my car (another habit learned from my father), the all important duct
tape...need I go on? Besides, what I don't have, I go to my parent's and borrow!!

Well, now that there's a man of the house
again, you name it! But when it was just myself, I owned two hammers...supposedly
different kinds, but they both pounded a nail. I also had nails, screws, nuts and bolts
(in an old mayonnaise jar - no lie) and a set of cheap screwdrivers, some yard tools and
an ancient power drill which had been my fathers years ago. I had duct tape and I had a
measuring tape. I had a wrench, a pipe wrench and pliers. I think

the stick Jane Goodall's chimp used? In that case, just about everything in the world is a
tool. "All the world's a tool and am but a simple

Two working computer systems, a kitchen full
of cookware and gadgetry, a shed full of typical yard care items, 2 cars, a drill and bit
set, a ratchet and screwdriver set... Geez, I could go on and on. 'Tool' can be pretty

What tools do I own? Well, let's see, I have
tools to apply makeup. I have tools to work on my nails. I have tools to do my hair. I
have tools to get me off(actually, its my husbands' tool).I have tools to cook with, draw
and tools to eat with, tools to clean with, and tools to work with, like a screwdriver and
a hammer.Tools to tear things apart and tools to put things back together. Like
relationships. Oh, I also have tools to clean my car. Ok, that 's about all I can think
of.
