Have you ever been in predicament where you've "bargained" with
God to help you get through it?
Only when I got
really drunk and "I swear, I'll never drink again if this will just
stop! Please, God, I
can't... blahhhhhh" You get the idea.

No. I've been in
predicaments, but I know God won't hit me with anything I can't handle
because He's fair. He sees everything and I don't - I figure He had a
reason for putting me in the predicament. If nothing else, maybe it's
a test to see if I've got the right stuff to get into Heaven.

I don't remember.
Possibly when I was much, much younger. I've never been very religious,
though, so I doubt it.

And once God grants your request - keeping up your end of the bargain
is the hard part.

More
than once as a matter of fact. I'm sure he laughs at me, too.

I'm
not quite sure what you mean but I think you are referring to when things
are going bad for you and you pray to God and tell him that if He'll only
get you out of the mess you're in, you'll ---------. Sure I've done this.
I think most people have.

I
don't think so.

No,
I would never bargain with God.

When
I feel like I really need support, I pray to him and ask him to help me
through. I usually never pray so I say that if he grants my wish, I'll
pray to him every night. I never do, I'm sorry God.

It
seems a bit pointless to me and a tad hypocritical.

LOL!
I've been in a few! One was when my friend and I were out sailing off
the coast of Maine. It was the Fourth of July, and we decided to sail
over to Old Orchard Beach to watch the fireworks. The sky got dark and
a sudden squall surrounded us. Waves were breaking at about 8 feet. We
got the sails down and were motoring back to the mooring when the running
lights quit working. We couldn't see where we were going! Maine is notorious
for its rocky coastline, and without the running lights I was sure we'd
run into some outcropping or something. Then it started to lightening!
At that point, I started praying. I bargained with God, pleading that
if he would get
us safely to shore I would go to church every single Sunday...I would
stop swearing (not that I did much of it in the first place - I was grasping
at ANY sin to bargain with). Anyhow, to make a long story short, we made
it safely to shore. God was looking out for me that night, and probably
would have gotten us out of that even if I didn't "bargain"
with him.
Tam
No.
I refuse to deal with someone so sadistic they won't help you unless you
beg loud enough.

And I have discovered that it's best not to bargain when you can never
hold the trump card.

I've pled, but not bargained.

At times when I was younger and things were happening at home. I bargained
with him to make it all go away and make people stop what they were doing.

Maybe
when I was very young. I really don't think it would do any good to try
to bargain with God. Praying and asking might work, but I doubt that He
bargains. And sometimes he says "No."

Yes,
but I think God laughs at you when you try to bargain with him.
