What is your least favorite natural disaster?

Tornados! And wouldn't you know it, one's on the way right now. There's a tornado watch tonight for all of Ohio, USA. It's in Central Ohio right now and it's coming eastbound, which is where I live! I'm scared.

Though I'm nowhere near a fault, Earthquakes.

I don't have first hand knowledge of any natural disaster, but I would think a volcanic eruption with flowing lava would be pretty bad.

Probably a hurricane. I think they do the most damage. Those fires in the west were awful, too, though they were started by humans. I think I'd rather be in a hurricane than a fire. I can't imagine a worse fate than burning to death.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

I don't care for any of them.

Janet, 45

Willful stupidity.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

I think a major earthquake.

Isn't a "disaster" a bad thing? How could I have a favorite "disaster"? They are all bad things...
tornados, hurricanes, monsoon, mudslide, etc... they are all bad. I don't have a favorite.

Probably hurricanes. I seem to hear more stories about human stupidity in connection with hurricanes than any other natural disaster. I get very annoyed with people who have hurricane parties instead of leaving the endangered area. I also get annoyed when my tax money goes in federal disaster relief to help idiots rebuild their homes along the same coastlines that get hit with hurricanes like clockwork.

I'd have to say a tornado since I am here in Tx. I've only been involved in one but wasn't "near it". It hot Downtown Fort Worth a few years back. I was stuck in a Kohl's department store and the managers wouldn't let anyone leave since they had reports of a tornado. 10 minutes later it had
swept through Downtown and surrounding areas and that's all you saw on tv for the next week. I live 5 miles from downtown.

Probably the ones I'me used to seeing first hand, the ones that have a direct effect. Around here that would be blizzards.

Earthquakes, hands down...if I was ever in one, that would totally freak me out...actually, it turned out, Alaska had a big Earthquake...and aftershocks recently...and I was just there a couple of months ago...plus I was there in March...

The only one I've ever been through was an earthquake, and that was pretty terrible. But I'd probably say fires are what I'm scared of the most.

Hahahaha, what a funny question. Any natural disaster that leaves me pinned in a small
space with no way out is my least favorite.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

I'm not particularly fond of any of them, but flooding frightens me the most.

Aly, 17

Tornados scare me to death!!!

Tam

This is an odd question.... well, I haven't experienced all of them. However, I can say that I have a great fear of tornados and I'm glad I no longer live in the south where they were common. Fortunately, I didn't see one up close and personal.

Laura, 37
Lowell, MA USA

My least favorite natural disaster would be anything that I have to be outside in.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

My favorite natural disaster is volcanic explosion because it is so cool and most of the time people can outrun it. (sorry Pompeii)

Cindy, 41

Tornadoes. So unpredictable. Kill your neighbors, but leave your house completely untouched save a few missing shingles. How does it do that? Ick.

Triana, 29
Austin, TX USA

Flood.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

A majopr snow storm, only if I have a frig full of food.
