If you celebrate Thanksgiving, what are you doing this year?

I'm cooking this year. So my sister and her family, my brother and his family and my Mother-in-law and brother-in-law, plus assorted others will meet at my home. We'll have turkey, spiral ham, mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberries and relish, salad, green beans almondine, spoonbread (cornbread) and vast quantities of desserts, featuring my sister's home made pumpkin and apple pies, along with butter cookies - slightly burnt for more flavor. We will give thanks, eat, drink and be merry. How knows, maybe the Scrabble board will be taken out for a game or two.

Janet, 46

What I did, about a month ago for OUR thanksgiving was have my boyfriend over. He met my parents for the first time.

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

I will join my husband in W.Va. on Thanksgiving Day to have dinner with his parents and some of their family. He will go over Wednesday to hunt through Friday. On Friday evening we will go to my parents' and have a second feast. My husband is going hunting for the first time up there - Dad is taking him to the location.

Cindy, 41

I'm taking the Wednesday before as a vacation day. On Thanksgiving morning, I'll probably go to church. Lunch will be at my brother-in-law's and dinner will be at my brother's. We'll have potluck at both places and the food will be much better at my brother's because my side has the better cooks!

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

I'm going to Atlanta to visit my siblings and their spouses. Actual Thanksgiving Day dinner will be at my sister, Colleen's.

Felicia, 37
Lowell, MA USA

Mark me "undecided".

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

If I can find a big meal with friends, I'll go, but usually just another work day for me.

Ryan, 29
Riedlingen GERMANY

That's a good question. We could be going to Colorado. We could be going to my parents' house, then my husband's parents' house. We could be going to my parents' house, then my husband's grandparents' house. If anyone finds out, please let me know.

Karen, 24
Ames, IA USA

Quiet dinner at home with just immediate family.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

We normally leave these to other family members who can actually remember names. My wife shows up with a dish to both of them, I show up with a 12 pack for the one for her family and a camera for the one for mine.

party at my house for thanksgiving.

im not a person who is into the holiday spirit thing. i consider the holidays just another day. i try to socialize with family but i usually end up in my room or out of the house.

this year there is going to be too many people at my house. my grandmother is already here and has been for too long. its 4 months now and counting. i heard somewhere that she was leaving soon but i cant get my hopes up until i have proof.

my evil aunt is coming. she is a complete demon with a horrible daughter just like her. she hates me because i am good. she tries everything she can to make me look bad but just ends up frustrated because it only makes me look better.

my sister is coming. she is like my saving grace. i wouldnt be able to handle this stuff if she werent here. we planned to go travelling the world instead of being here but it didnt happen so i guess we will go to italy for spring break. yay!!!! i am so glad she is coming.

my younger brother will be here. he has been away at school since june. ohio. not good. i miss him like crazy. we were best friends when we were growing up. we are still very close now except that he is doing stupid things right now that are messing up his life. its still very fixable so i have to let him learn his lessons the hard way. glad he is going to be here. its been too long since i have seen him. i will definitely visit him next year.

then come all the family and friends who normally drop by. these people i dont mind except for some of the girls who come for my older brother. there is only one who is like family the rest are just tag alongs who wish they could be accepted. they wont though.

i get to see my brothers friends some of which are like older brothers and old crushes when i was growing up.

my friends will be dropping by for the food mainly. my mom is the best cook around. so everyone pretty much does rounds at our house if they have already eaten somewhere else.

my mom always cooks double everything. one dinner for the people at the house eating and the dinner for those who drop by to get plates.

there is usually a game of spades going on so thats what i will be doing. i dont like sittin at the table to with everyone all together. its just overwhelming. sometimes i deal with it other times i eat in the kitchen or the family room and watch tv. there are usually too many people to fit in the dining room anyway. i always try to make sure i am last.

i end up helping with the tons of dishes and putting up food. some people come by in the days or week after for leftovers. at certain times in between all of this craziness i find time to sneak
up to my room to collect myself and be alone. even for just 5 minutes. its so relieving to do that. i try to stay near the door for all of the people who drop by and so i can at least hang outside if i cant make it to my room.

i think my favorite cousin might be coming too. that will be so cool. i
havent seen her in a long time. its time for me to go back to new york and visit. maybe i will do that for christmas. instead of being here. that will only happen if my sister isnt coming for christmas. we will see. i need to get out of this town soon.
