Have you ever acted in a play?

Not since high school. But I worked backstage on a few productions when I was dating the director.

Played the role of Stewpot in South Pacific back in high school.

I've acted and directed in both college and community theater.

Yes, back in elementary school, high school and in an acting group while taking classes. Two different coaches told me I was probably too "typical looking" to ever make a career of it. I'm still not sure what that means, but I gave up on stage acting after showing up to an off-off-broadway audition and finding over 300 other females there ~ 20o of whom looked so much like me they could have been my sisters!

I had a non-speaking part as a dance hall girl in a Western called "Kiss of Death".

Cathie, 53

I was the old lady in the Gingerbread Man in first grade. I was a Navajo Indian in fifth grade. In college I was the head of the makeup department of the Pinion Players - the drama group. That's about as close as I have ever gotten. "LIfe is but a walking shadow... A poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more..." yadda yadda yadda

I was in loads of plays at school, but not since then, no. The first play I was ever in was Whinnie the Pooh. I was one of the Bees. I remember having to pull an angry bee face, because he had stollen our honey! I was 5 years old, and rather bemused by the whole thing I think. The most recent was Twelth Night (I can't remember who I was in that though.) That was when I was 15.

I've done some work with pro wrestling. Maybe not what a lot of people would consider a play but it is live acting with an audience.

Alias Irrelevante

Yep, I went to a school of the arts, but my prized moment was as Aunty Em in The Wizard of Oz.

I played a character role in a high school farce and a secondary role in a college drama. I wrote and starred in a 4th grade bicenntenial play about Benedict Arnold. I've done lots of dramatic readings. All of this really more about having a well-rounded education than any aspirations of fame.

In the 6th grade. It was a celebration of the bicentennial. I was one of the narrators. Kim Groholske beat me out for the part of Molly Pitcher.

the only thing close to play that i have been in would be the christmas special held at school when i was in the 2nd grade. the only thing i really remember is that we sang "teddy bear picnic" along with some other songs. funny how for some reason i love that song but i cant remember the words at all. i guess its just an important moment in my life.

No. Growing up the only available outlets were school productions and local theatre groups. Nothing they ever did captured my imagination. I quite fancy starring in an independent film, though - something along the lines of Requiem For A Dream.

Aly, 17
Cardiff UK

Yep. I was an extra in The Littlest Christmas tree, several characters in skits my TAG program put on, an extra in our middle school musical, and an extra in Romeo & Juliet. That's all I can think of, but there were probably others.

Karen, 24
Ames, IA USA

No, but I have directed plays for children. Does that count?

KarenNJ, 45
Milltown, NJ USA

No. I prefer to do the scenes behind the play, stage design, projected images, etc.
