What is the worst thing that our society accepts?

I think we're a bit too lenient (as a whole) on child molesters, murderers, and drunk drivers. Obesity also comes to mind, though there's no public crime in that. Still we do tend to accept it more readily than any other country.

Our society accepts a LOT of bad things. I could compose a list a mile long. I think something needs to be done about overpopulation, though, because as a species, we are just using
too many of the earth's resources. At this rate, I don't see how can possibly sustain ourselves much longer!
