What is the number one item on your Holiday gift list?

I guess I really didn't have a number one item on my holiday gift list.  The only thing I really want is...a baby. Hehe. My husband and I are trying to have a kid. That's about it. Maybe some really good candy. As long as I get to spend a few days during the holidays with my whole family, then I'll be happy.

a Honda Civic, but I don't think anyone is going to give me that.... :sigh:

A happy, relaxed holiday for all the family. And evidence that a gift-giver has really thought about what would please me. These days, if I have a burning desire for a specific item, I usually can get it for myself.

I'm not sure whether you mean giving or receiving, but my answer would be the same. My husband and I were able to provide some frivolous presents for four well-behaved, honor roll children who otherwise would have had a very meager Christmas day in material terms. Their mother provides them with a great deal of love, but video games do add to festivity.

To give or receive?
To give, the best gift I came across is a "Write Your Autobiography" kit for my father-in-law. He'll never use it. But he'll love it all the same.

To receive, my husband usually gives me coupons for services over the year. Good stuff like "Turn off the damn light and go to sleep now" or "Put out the trash and recycling without procrastinating". I'm looking forward to this year's batch. He's usually pretty creative.

My number one item right now is getting Christmas off without being shit-canned. After that, a DVD player would be nice, or some good screenwriting software.

Well, I do not know what is the number 1 gift on my list...since I did not rank them..But I asked for heavy, very heavy sweaters etc...because it probably gets pretty nippy in Alaska...a couple of pro wrestling books...or some videos on Ancient Rome...like I told my brother...that should be more than enough to chose from, so he should knock himself out, why not?

I've never really thought about what I want for Christmas. I tend to think of Christmas as a time for giving, not receiving.

I really want either a digital camera or a CD burner. I think I'd rather get the digital camera as a holiday present.

Bruce Springsteen. No, feasibly? I'm kinda hoping for the PC game Empire Earth. And money; I want money.

I really don't have a physical gift I want to receive. I'd like more joy in my life. As for gift to give, I'm giving my family members all shares in a cow for farming families oversees. See http://www.heifer.org. I   thought that was pretty cool.

A book that I really wanted but don't have the money to buy. Either that or a lego set.

I already got my gift. My husband and I went on a 7 day cruise to the southern Caribbean. It was wonderful!
