I grew up playing Emo Philips and Steven Wright tapes to death and still like both of them quite a bit. I often wonder how often Wright gets his own jokes forwarded to him. I was also a big fan of Jake Johanson, Sam Kinison and Jerry Seinfeld. Comedy is kind of rare for me in that no matter how overexposed somebody is I can still enjoy them if I liked them to begin with. Even Leno, who's generally as schlock as you can get, will make me smile now and then.

I don't really have a favorite, there are many who I get such a kick out of. Paul Reiser, Robin Williams come to mind immediately...but there's a younger, African American female I've seen a few times on BET and Comedy Central and she usually has me in stitches...wish I could remember her name. Steven Wright is thought provoking and I like his unique style. That's a really tough business to get into and stay in successfully.
