Are
you giving any homemade gifts this Christmas, Hannukah, etc.?yes, I am helping my
son make stepping stones for his grammas' gardens. They each have his little
handprint in them and little jems and stones. Very cute. I am also burning some comp cd's
for some friends of mine, and building a webpage for another one... Being poor means
you have to *do* a lot of nice stuff for christmas...very few people are seeing an actual
gift from me.

No. I'm not into crafts and wouldn't trust
myself to bake anything worthy enough to be considered a "gift." :)

I found a recipe for hot cocoa on
the web: 2 c. dry milk, 2 c. sugar, 2 c. nondairy
creamer, and 1 c. cocoa. So I bought tin containers and made some for my friends.

I haven't made any major gifts, but a few
people will get cookies or breads from my oven.

No, not made at my home anyway. I mean, I'm
sure a lot of those factory workers are putting in lots of overtime and kind of consider
the hellholes they work in to be their second home...

As a matter of fact I am. A good friend of
mine has a pet turtle (he's had him for more than 30 years!) and I am crocheting a little
turtle pillow for him. I made a practice version last night (using scrap yarn in the wrong
colors) and it came out pretty good.

I don't think so. There are some things I'd
really like to make, though, if I only had time. Maybe next year.

Sort of...I made my grandmother a
new address book by purchasing one from the store and
printing out address labels of all the contacts she has in her old one. This way, if
someone moves, she can just print out a label and put it over the old one instead of
crossing it out and making it so messy. Her handwriting is so messy, sometimes even she
can't read it!

I usually do some baking for the
holidays. As usual, I brought a home made fruit cake to
my in-laws. (Don't groan, the fruit cake that I make has no resemblence to that nasty
store-bought stuff.) I'll probably bake some cookies for my retired neighbor who lives
alone, too.

That's about all I can give. One of the
presents im giving is my brother and I performing some songs for the rents. They'll go
nuts for it and it costs us nothing. It stinks being broke for christmas but it really
gets the creative juices flowing.

No. But thank you for being politically
correct. It's very kind.

I usually make cookies and treats I give to
people. This year I make T-Shirts with clever sayings on it for some of my family members.
