Are
you worried about the current state of the economy? Yes, I'm concerned
about the economy. I work for a nonprofit that serves low-income families. They are the
first to feel the brunt of a recession. A missed paycheck can mean the difference between
having a place to live and living on the streets. The U.S. has greatly reduced the
services that we provide the marginalized and the situation will only deteriorate as more
people try to use the decreasing services.

Not too concerned. The way I figure it is if
there's a total collapse nobody can hire a lawyer so it'll be a little harder to evict
people.
Alias Irrelevante
Right at this moment I have enough
personal concerns that the economy is just going to
have to manage without me. Of course, I'll pay my bills, but that is all I can contribute
to the economy right now.

No, I've watched it go through enough cycles
that I am convinced that it will rally before long and end up stronger than ever.

Yes. I'm stuck in my POS job because there's
really nowhere to go.

A bit. Because I don't have a career and I
want to be able to buy stuff. . .

Not really. I'm in college right now and
basically, whether the economy sucks or is great, I'm having fun.

The economy always seems to take care of
itself eventually so no, I'm not worried.

The state of my economy (Canada's)
is different than yours (US). I could listen to the gloom and doom annalists and get
all depressed, but I know that a lot of money was pumped into the economy this summer; at
Christmas time and in the previous month people are still spending rather consistently.
One of the most important indicators of a falling economy is lack of consumer confidence.
The second one may sound odd, but it's the weather. Winter tourist operations are getting
hit in this quarter, but if we have a warm summer, the wallets are going to keep coming
out. In Canada, that is.

I'm trying to get a job and an apartment, so
I would have to answer this in the affirmative.
Angela, 18

Yes. Both my husband and I have been laid off from
our jobs. An improving economy will help us find new jobs.
