What are your New Year's Resolutions?

I've made 2 resolutions... 1. To get my wife pregnant (we start working on that as soon as her egg drops). 2. To stop smoking as soon as the wife gets pregnant. I figure it's the best reason there is to quit... not only to preserve my health, but also my wife's (who also smokes and will be quitting) and the baby's.

To carve out more time for myself to reflect and to get into some sort of shape.

Felicia, 36

I'm always making great plans about starting a journey toward perfection.

40 to be precise...however, that is less than the 50 I had for last year...so maybe that is a good sign...I don't know...at any rate...

1- Get a real job.
2- To break my record for hiking/walking...which is currently at 23 miles...
3- Finish the 1st draft of a thingmajig I started writing in October 2001...

whatever

The usual...lose some weight and go to the gym. My sister is getting married this summer so I thought it would be nice to drop a few pounds and be in shape.

Not really. The usual vague notions of eating healthier, getting more exercise, etc., float through my head, but I don't believe there is enough commitment to them to call them resolutions.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

The usuals about eating right and exercise, but also to study more and to enjoy life more (which may turn out to be a contradtion in terms).

Keri-Jade, 23

To take even less crap from people than I did the year before! (this is my only resolution every new year)

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

Yes, I made three. I've broken one already but I hope to be able to keep the other 2 - to eat bbetter and to organize my time better.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

Nope

Firelady, 24

save money

Savannah, 17
Melbourne, FL USA

Not really. Like I think I've said before, I set goals based on when they need to be done, not on a new year being involved.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

I lose weight.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

Not really any that I've written down and plan to stick to come Hell or high water..but I would like to add more exercise to my days, eat a more balanced diet, spend more time with my son and socialize more with my family and friends.

Tam

Nope.

Laura, 37
Lowell, MA USA

Of course.

Cindy, 41

Same as a lot of other people -- quit smoking, get in shape, lose weight
